Very very warm

Hotel was fine for a cheap stay, basic but as expected. However it was so hot - it was a heatwave in London and there was no air con and no fans provided, this made it an uncomfortable stay. I would stay again in the winter but not in the summer.

8/10 Very good

A nice budget friendly hotel in a relatively quiet neighbourhood. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the facilities were clean. Only problem we had was at the end of our stay, I think I had an allergic reaction to the carpets, but that’s not the hotel’s fault since it has happened to me in every place with carpet. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

Very warm room - no aircon

Nice stay and nice people. However, very warm and no possible aircondition in the room. Travelling with a baby that was a challenge.. asking for a fan - not possible. But the next day, We Saw other guests get a fan… therefore, not fully happy with the service at the hotel…

6/10 Good

The location of this hotel was very nice! However there were a couple of inconveniences like the shower door falling a couple of times but the staff was super helpful!
Raisa, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Dissapointed

The bed was noisy as it was metal , mattress wasnt very thick , pillows uncomfortable and wasps kept coming in via the bathroom vent .the room was just a standard size and just about big enough to fit a small double bed in , with an ensuit to the side.

2/10 Poor

Overall ok value for money
Sherbin Kalavampara, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

Probably best avoided

Budget conditions not reflected in the price of rooms. Could have given this an average rating if it wasn't for the disturbance by the maid after 11am checkout even though I had prepaid for late checkout (2pm). Not much in the way of an apology from the reception desk and have so far did nothing to make amends. Poor.

Additional costs

Pretty much get what you pay for but the free breakfast is only for tea/coffee & toast. Bacon, Sausage, Eggs etc has to be paid for additionally. Bathroom was very small & if you are unlucky you have to climb 4 sets of stairs to get to your room. Also, if you want to put your baggage into a secure room on the day of your check out you also have to pay for this which I found a bit odd. The staff were friendly and I cant blame them for the downside of the hotel.

I have stayed at Lords a number of times, always quiet and friendly hotel: recommended
Anthony, 5-night trip

6/10 Good

Basic, good location, needs some tlc.

I booked this hotel as it was less than half the price of chain hotels for the same dates in London so I expected it to be basic. I hadn't appreciated the hotel was split over multiple sites though, so had to walk about 100m between reception and breakfast, and my room. I was then on the fourth floor with no air conditioning and very narrow stairways to access the room. There was a large gap under the door so you could hear any noise outside the room, and the bathroom wasn't the cleanest. There was thankfully a decent freestanding fan in the room, but during a heatwave it just wasn't enough. The staff were all very friendly.

Service

To be honest, i prefer tea and serve in the room, and the breakfast was okish, but not alot of choice, the waiters did a excellent job

Great Value for Money

My mum and I really enjoyed staying here. You don’t feel like you’ve overpaid, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room was in a separate building to the main reception which did mean a quick walk to breakfast but given that breakfast was included, can’t complain too much! Overall, a great stay!
1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Not recommended in hot summer 35-40degrees

They gave us a room on top floor with no proper airconditioning, it was in july temperature was 35degees in our room, we werent able to sleep for 3nights in a row because of the bad airconditioning, we were boiling inside at nightime and it was grumling to come back to hotel to sleep, steep steps with no elevator up to the top floor as well, so we were drenched in sweat by the time you came up to the room.
Hanna, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

It is the first time staying here and i was surprised at Check in when the guy on reception said your room is in another building 100 metres up the road. I have stayed in a lot of hotels and this is a first. Then another first was breakfast the next morning, we were shown to a table and given a list with the following: Yogurt or Cornflakes w/ milk Toast Brown or white bread 2 slices W/ butter and jam Croissant w/ butter and jam Coffee, Tea or Orange juice. Then told to pick 4 items for breakfast. There were then extra options which had to be paid for. Normally when I go to a hotel there is a buffet or a choice of English or Continental breakfast. The room was very clean and tidy, the shower was very good with strong pressure. The staff were friendly and helpful.

For a hotel within walking distance of Kensington Palace and Hyde Park, this is a very reasonably priced hotel. A continental breakfast is included and rooms are comfortable.
