Chamberlain is a great little town.

Perfect low key spot to stay next to the river; we almost always stay here on trips through SD.

I’d stay again!

I’m sure the owners are working on upgrades; it’ll be a fantastic spot once that is done. The location and view is stunning! I’d stay again.

It is an older hotel, but very nice staff and clean room with comfortable beds. Great price for a quick stay in a cross country trip.

Equal to any big chain - clean, nice, big air conditioner, smart tv, minifridge and microwave. Chamberlain is right in the middle of South Dakota and this is a great midpoint hotel that I will use again. Also, great scenic view of the river!

Old School Charm!

We were wanting a place to stay right on the Missouri River. We found this place with great reviews! Don’t let the vintage appearance detour you. This place is clean, extremely comfortable beds, and easy access to anywhere in Chamberlain. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Great basic hotel for a great price, right on the lake. Quiet area. Still in the process of renovation, but occupiable rooms are just great.

Worth giving a try.

Older, smallish hotel that is updated, roomy and comfortable. Booked a room with 3 queens which was perfect for us. Manager was very helpful trouble-shooting an issue. Very nice staff. Enjoyed sunrise the next morning. Bagged continental breakfast. Good price.

Friendly service, quaint location

The stay started well with a friendly and helpful reception. The room and bathroom were tiny, but the AC worked and the bed was comfy. I was thrilled that the fridge had a freezer for our ice packs. The property has a gazebo and seating along the river. There's also a nice park and walking path nearby.

Loves the setting on the river! Had a beautiful sunset and enjoyed seeing and talking with folks who are out to watch it! This is a ‘50s motel with cute, very clean rooms and great outdoor seating to watch the sunset or play games!!

Good value along the Missouri River

Overall a good stay right along the Missouri River. The outside and lobby need a lot of work, as the first impression you get when you drive in isn't positive. However, the room and bathroom were clean, facility was safe, water pressure was excellent, and location can't be beat. The "grab & go" breakfast was very limited. But at that price, I didn't expect anything. Overall a good value.

Such a nice place to stay. Very clean. Staff is the best. I will definitely come back.

Fishing trip

Good one night stay for fishing. Has some outdoor electricity for boat battery chargers but ask ahead for a spot close to power outlets. Has a small fridge/freezer in room. Good location close to restaurants/bars. Parking is a little tight with a boat trailer but again ask ahead for a decent spot for a boat trailer.

Great value for the money. A bit dated, and exterior needs some maintenance but the room was clean and comfortable. Above all, a pleasant location right on the Missouri River, which was a nice break from hours on the interstate.

Fine for an overnight stop.

We stayed in the one story building. First impressions weren't the best. The hotel is old and run down on the outside and the parking lot is in rough shape. The room itself was dated, but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was very quiet and the view of the bridge and across the river was pretty. There was a small breakfast offered - coffee, instant oatmeal, granola bars, mini muffins, applesauce, and juice.

Older motel with a room with 3 queen beds. The outside looks a bit beaten up, but the inside was nice and the room was affordable. The view of the river was pleasant, even on a rainy day.

Booked through hotels.com. Appearance of hotel from outside was old and questionable. But inside was very well kept, clean and comfortable!

Great location next to the Missouri River

The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Parking was a little challenging but manageable. The property sits next to the Missouri River and management has tables and chairs set up outside so a person can enjoy the river. A great price and location.

Old style hotel on the river

Business trip and just an overnight stay. Believe this is a local family owned hotel, which I like to support. An older hotel, with actual room keys and old style exterior room access. Although some things are older, it functioned well for my needs and they have tried to update items as needed. With the older hotel, the floor is not level, some items may not be the newest and there is your own room fly swatter (you are in South Dakota, so there are flies), but it is along the river and worth checking out the view of the bridge, thus the hotel name. Very basic continental breakfast, which get's picked over quickly. I call the quirks of the room, just some old world charm.

Don't hesitate.. great place!

Was worried about our stay because price was right but relied on reviews... it was a great place to stay and right on Missouri River. Very clean and recently updated, I would highly recommend. We only stayed. 1 night and it was perfect. Theee is a sitting area to watch the boats.

We enjoyed a nice view of the river. Our room was cozy, the bed was comfortable, all the fixtures were in good shape, the price was right and everything was very clean. We received a very nice welcome and had a pleasant check-in experience, complete with a friendly dog. We would be happy to stay here again.
