Great location in Kilkenny. The free parking was a bonus and it was great to be able to leave the car there and walk everywhere. We stayed in one of the newer rooms which was spacious and spotless and the shower was great! Delighted with our stay there and would definitely stay there again.

Very city centre. Parking area behing the hotel, little tricky to find but plenty of room. We are always looking for original retro accommodations and this is it. Hotel itself is attraction. Definitely coming back on our next trip!

The most charming stay of our trip

We absolutely loved our stay here. It's off the beaten path, gloriously quiet, and it oozes charm. And the owners were incredibly kind, even celebrating the birthday of a returned customer with a cake. The roads to get there aren't for the faint of heart. They are scary narrow and as an American already driving on the other side of the road... well that part isn't great. The village of Ballyvaugan is tiny with few food options, so some advance planning is necessary. But the options that do exist are great (including Mr Kebab).
