Pretty rough shape and years of neglect it seems.

Rooms are in rough shape with burnt out lights, old pillows that arent great, grout around tub all cracked not nice looking, finishings arent great (painted 2x4 for a towel rack back board), tv isnt a huge deal but is very small and added to the condition of the room. Only great things are the staff were very accomadating and cleaning staff worked hard and quick to get us in our room. As well the obvious location. These were the reasons it was a 2 and not a 1.

The room was dirty but smelled like febreeze. There was toothpaste on the counter, hair in the bathtub. The worst part was the bed. It was horrible. Everytime I rolled over it made loud creaking sounds because it was on a wood base. It was so old it had a big dip in the middle and we had to climb out of it. The office closed for checkin at 530pm and wasn't open until 10am the morning of checkout. I would not stay here again or recommend it.

Great value and awesome location

Tiki Shores is your basic traveller motel, which is fine with me. The location is perfect for enjoying the beach, local restaurants, etc. We chose the second floor room with the lake view (across the street) and it was great. Our room was basic but had everything we needed. the kitchenette (fridge, sink, microwave, coffee maker) was a nice feature. The water was hot, and the room was made up nicely. Half of the room had a tile floor that seemed to trap the sand from our shoes...so the floor was always a little sandy.

Terrible stay

We got there at 9pm after sister in law had checked us in - inspected our room and got our code. We go to our room and someone was in it. Office closes at 6 and we have our 78yo mom and no room. We called the number on the door of office over and over until someone finally answered. We had to wait outside for a long time until someone called us back and told us to go the the motel next door. They had double booked and the hotel next door The Shores put us in a very dirty room there. Terrible experience!
