We had a great vacation here. The beach was beautiful with lots of fish to see, lots of indigenous animals patrolling the grounds including monkeys, awesome pools and lazy river, huge sprawling grounds to explore and friendly helpful staff. Great all inclusive.

Was a beautiful resort! First night was a bad experience with the room but they took care of it next day and made things right with a steak dinner. Overall a great place to stay!
Rigo, 4-night trip

A huge area with beautiful nature, a large number of swimming pools and white sand beach areas.

10/10 Exceptional

The property has a great beach that is clean with clear water and the ability to be in the ocean and enjoy the water. With 3 huge pools there were plenty of chairs with no early sunrise chair saving needed. The beach bar rotated a daily fresh prepared lunch and the staff was friendly and kind. Overall a great trip.

Amenities were good, Leo our concierge was great, Louisa and Irene were incredible servers, AC was poor in our room, overall good experience.
Murray, 5-night trip

6/10 Good

The beach and view of the ocean were amazing. Able to snorkel right off the property. Some areas of the property were not wheelchair assessable, including some of the washrooms.
Ramie, 10-night trip

8/10 Very good

Overall, we had a lovely time at the resort. It is a huge property with plenty of activity options, pools and beaches! The staff were great! The resort upcharges for room service, unless you want a hot dog or ham sandwich between 11a-11p. That was disappointing. Please also note they are undergoing renovations in some of the rooms. When we checked in the first night, the toilet plumbing was not working at all in our room, but they moved us to another room in a timely manner.
Stacey, 10-night trip

8/10 Very good

They are renovating and im sure the little things will be repaired paint peeling concrete chipping. But over all great place lots of options for food and pools. Beach was great. Then entrainment was good over all. Lots of wildlife on the resort nice to see

The holiday was good and pleasant except for the fact that we had to change three rooms until we found a working air conditioner
Serhii, 10-night trip

6/10 Good

The property grounds are lovely. The rooms are dated and things not properly working in some cases. The resort is huge. Did not get the real lay of the land until the week’s end. Lots of walking.
Kimberley, 7-night trip

8/10 Very good

Staff was exceptional. Food was good. Rooms need some repair. We had chairs with rips and paint spots on them. Bathtub took an hour to fill. Air conditioning hardly cooled the room and we lost power once. We were contacted daily to make sure things were going well. Superior customer service. They just need to work on some cosmetic updates and this place will be golden! I would still go back even with the flaws. Great family resort.
LISA, 12-night trip

8/10 Very good

I think the staff was overwhelmed by the season. It was hard to find a clean table at the buffet and sometimes it would take a while for staff to come and ask if you wanted a coffee or water. Overall a good experience but not great.
Jose, 8-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The serving staff were AMAZING! Shout out to Irene and Louisa serving our drink orders from the pool bar. We enjoyed walking the beautiful and tropical paths. The grounds and building are maintained and cleaned constantly. Many food choices and ethnic restaurants to try (all delicious!) . . . . enjoyed the Lion King show. The only thing we didn't enjoy was the 70's show on our very first night. Costumes were inappropriate ( too many butts hanging out) as was the grinding and gyrating happening on stage. Other than that very small unpleasantness, everything else was FANTASTIC!!! 9.9/10

We absolutely loved our trip to GS! Such a beautiful resort, lush and green within the jungle. Beach and ocean are stunning, lots of fish right at the resort, Plenty of wildlife to admire: monkeys, raccoons, coatis, cats, iguanas… luckily no snakes for us. The buffet was the best one I have experienced, large, clean and lots of yummy options. The a la cartes were fantastic! Our favourite was the Italian restaurant “Tonino.” Our waiter Rigo was incredible and went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. The food at this place was awesome and will be the reason we come back. Be prepared to walk a lot since the resort is very large, we don’t mind walking so this was fine for us. The nightly shows we watched were fantastic: Michael Jackson, 70’s show and the Lion King. Only issues we struggled with was minimal bathrooms working and available for the size of the resort. And we would have liked hand sanitizer to be encouraged to everyone prior to entering the buffet and restaurants to prevent passing illnesses throughout guests. There was none anywhere on the resort. Rooms were standard, AC seems to work very minimally and make sure you bring your own toiletries since they do not offer much. No lotion, conditioner, or extras or any kind. Otherwise we loved this resort and will hopefully be back one day.

4/10 Fair

Unfortunately not happy at all with our booking and stay at this resort. The service and food were terrible. The restaurants were not available to book, during our 5 days stay they told us they are all booked. At the beach restaurant it was all left over burgers and hotdogs that was not even warmed up. The towel station by the pool was always closed so we had to walk all the way to beach to get towel. The transportation inside the resort was with golf carts and they were supposed to stop by every 15 minutes however most of the time they wouldn't show up. I would say there were not enough golf carts for the resort. Our shower door was not closing all the way and water keep coming out , ended up me slipping on the floor. When we brought it to manager, they sent someone to fix it. But you do t want to go to a resort and keep reporting their problems to them. when we asked for extra sheet and blanket it took them 3 hours to bring it to us. The resort itself is beautiful and it has a lot of great pools and great beach , great shows at night time, but again the service and things not being available made our stay experience very unpleasant.

The property is memorable and the beach is breathtaking. I really liked the staff and the services in general. People were really friendly and happy to help. I appreciate the fact that the hotel hires local people, Mayan culture, very humble and authentic people. The hotel had renovated buildings and some older ones, we were offered an upgrade because of our event, proposal, and this was muchly appreciated! Even although our room was not ready, they managed to find us another room on the meantime. The next day we got to our seaview room. It was new year’s eve so I figured some staff didn’t show up for work which happens everywhere. I disliked the fact that all the a la carte restaurants were full booked from day 1. We struggle to get in a peruvian restaurant. This was pitiful, as we booked here also for the quality restaurants. The concierge would tell us to come the next day but reservations were always fully booked. Had the impression these seats were mostly reserved for club members. The buffet food was decent but we were fed up after the 3rd day. Restaurants reservation definitely needs improvement. Food quality at the buffet was nearly excellent, we had lobster for New Year’s and this was amazing! Hotel is a bit far from the airport about 1h20. Overall I really recommend this hotel and will be coming back for sure as we made it a memorable place for our family were I proposed to my fiancé at the beach! 😍

8/10 Very good

I just returned from 11 days at the Grand Sirenis. Overall I had an amazing time and here is my honest opinion. This property is beautiful and spacious. Lots of opportunities to explores different areas, pools, beaches…the lazy river. The ocean was amazing! A couple days of murky water but most days the sea was clear and warm. I found the pools to be a little cool but on a warm day it didn’t take long to get used to. Both main pool areas are clean with lots of seating, bar and even food options close. The horseshoe pool is starting to show signs of needing some tlc but seemed to be the quietest of the 3 if you were looking for a little shade or refuge. I had no problem booking 4 al a carte restaurants. Loved my dinner at the Butcher. The buffets were mediocre at best, there was always something to eat but consistency and temperatures were lacking. The room was not updated but was serviceable, the bed was uncomfortable. Come to find out mid stay the pillow top mattress had been turned upside down, from the stains the bottom I had no intention of finding out why they had flipped it over. My last morning I woke up at 5 am to no power and no ac. Needless to say I was not a happy guest. I hoped to go back to sleep and it would come back on before I had to pack and get ready to leave but I neither happened. It doesn’t take long for the temperatures to rise inside. I had a 14 hour travel day ahead of me, so to not being able to shower and packing in the dark made for a long day.
