Excellent hotel in the middle of cairo, close to the museum. There are many good restaurants around, the area is secure. The breakfast was very good and all staff were professional, friendly and caring. I would definitely stay again at this hotel next time I visit Cairo.

My son and I have had the most wonderful stay here. The staff are friendly and so very helpful, kind and lovely. Breakfast was an added bonus and our room was large and spacious. Great location for downtown, easy to get taxis anywhere we wanted to go. I would definitely stay here again. Lovely.

Overall the hotel is suitable for low budget stay with decent rooms. Room and bathrooms are fine and towels provided. Working AC in all rooms. Extra amenities can sometimes be provided on request e.g kettle for the room. Cleaning must be requested. Breakfast is a little limited but alright - cheese, sliced ham, yogurt, breads, omelette (cooked to order), falafel. Staff were friendly and did their best to be helpful. Can exchange money, book tours, and arrange taxis. Surrounding area is noisy but to be expected for centre of city.

Clean hotel but very average comfort and noisy!

I slept there one night only. The staff was keen and welcoming but the comfort of the bed and pillows was terrible. The noise insulation is very poor so expect to hear everything that’s happening in the rooms nearby. Otherwise it’s a practical location in a safe area.

Very good accommodation! In the city center, in a great location, with modern, clean, comfortable rooms. A little gem! Special thanks to the chef for the magnificent breakfasts! The entire staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Very clean, modern, I hope we will visit again! since Egypt is Egypt, just to be safe, check with them on the phone before you arrive :-)

This is a really great place. It's a mid-range hotel which outperforms a lot of higher-end places I've stayed in in many parts of the world. Even though I don't speak Arabic, the staff always made me feel at home. The manager Hassan was not only genteel but arranged for everything we needed logistically. We used drivers from the hotel for tours of Cairo's many cultural offerings as well as to Giza. There is also an amazing breakfast every morning featuring fresh, delicious Egyptian food. The hotel is also located in downtown within walking distance of restaurants, bakeries, cafes, juice places, outdoor shisha and conversation places. Overall just a terrific place to stay. Highly recommended.

A six-nights stay

We have fond memories of our stay at the El-Farida; after a few days, we became acquainted with its operations – from reception to breakfast service – and made a conscious effort not to overburden the staff with our requests. It's worth noting that the owner is genuinely committed to service quality. While he may not directly oversee every aspect, his influence is evident. Younger receptionists sometimes seem hesitant in their interactions with foreign guests, for example, it took them three days discussing the malfunctioning television in our room. However, the seasoned employees exhibit a commendable dedication, often compensating for any shortcomings. Nonetheless, everyone on staff is remarkably helpful and adept at addressing guests' needs. Shampoo, shower gel, soap, and towels are available in the bathroom, and the air conditioning is dual-function, allowing you to raise the room temperature in winter (although it was unnecessary in February). Cattle is available upon request at the reception desk. Not a good hotel to get a good night sleep

If you're expecting a good night's sleep, this hotel is not the right place to stay. Through no fault of the hotel, I had 10 nights lack of sleep as there's a restaurant right next door which plays loud music until 2:00am. I would not recommend a stay here and will certainly not be staying myself at the next visit.
