Perfect little stay.

Very pleasantly surprised by our stay here, the pictures do not do it justice. Very comfy bed, fancy facilities like large very fluffy towels, very nice bathroom products, great selections of hot drinks. Only thing I would say is that if you are very tall, be careful of the low ceilings!

Fantastic hotel

Really lovely place to stay, gorgeous bedrooms, friendly staff and lovely food. I was sorry we only stayed a night - we hope to come back for longer next time!

Well worth a stay

We had a fabulous stay there, the rooms were well equipped and furnished, very warm & homely, felt newly decorated yet reflected the heritage of the very old building that The Windmill is. The breakfast is freshly cooked to order and was delicious and well presented.

Very friendly pub. The room is well presented with modern comforts. It has retained its natural beauty with exposed wooden beams, a large fireplace in the pub and locally produced food and beverage. Would recommend.

Excited to return!

We loved our one night stay at the Windmill! The staff are friendly and helpful and both the pub and rooms are just gorgeous. The place manages to be both light, airy and clean as well as rustic, homely and super cosy. We also had a delicious breakfast in the pub. We'll be back!

One of the greatest stays I have ever had great location best bed I have ever had and right next door a great pub. I often don't leave reviews but my experience here was excellent

Great location as very handy for motorway but still nice and quiet. The room was very comfortable. Staff were great, very friendly. We had dinner and breakfast and both were delicious. We will definitely be back!

Great stopover on route to the tunnel

Lovely traditional inn in the village of Hollingbourne. So welcoming on arrival by Victoria who was a little gem. Nice garden to sit in and taste the local wine. Pet friendly too. Will definitely return!

Pub with character

Stopped overnight enroute to LeShuttle, very convenient just off the M20, in a village. Room spacious and comfy, with good quality tea/coffee. Enjoyed a tasty meal downstairs in the restaurant. In the room you could hear the people in the restaurant talking, but it was silent after 10pm (and they do provide earplugs if needed). Having originally booked room only, we decided that we would have breakfast as the dinner had been good. However when we went down the external stairs from the accommodation, the pub was all locked up and the agency chef was standing outside not able to get in. We waited until 8:05, but decided to head off as we needed to catch our train. It was a shame as breakfast was advertised in the car park as being available every day feom 8am.

6/10 Good

Lacklustre. Underwhelmed

Beautiful village and the pub Front of house staff haven't attended Charm School SHOWER not a great temperature and didn't drain from shower tray as it should Charged an additional £6 - no idea what for!? On morning of departure there was nobody in the Bar so I could return the room key and mention the Shower Fail Underwhelmed Lacklustre Disappointed when I was so looking forward to a stay in a cosy welcoming pub in a picturesque part of the Kent countryside...

Great Weekend get away.

We had a great stay in this quirky little pub. Staff were very friendly. Only downside was very noisy plumbing but can’t be helped in such an old building. Breakfast was amazing and it is only a 20 minute walk to Leeds castle.

Nice old hotel

Nice room in a very old pub. Excellent evening meal. However, the less said about the bacon in the breakfast the better. I was thinking of calling for a priest.
Ian, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Staff were excellent, they managed the minor issues with the room professionally. The meal offer is limited if you are not keen on fish or sharing platters. That said we ate twice in the restaurant, the meal was fine, not sure it was great value for the money but I'm sure the price is similar to other establishments in the area. Breakfast is very good, great selection and options. Overall we had a great time and will return

Food is divine!!!

The room was lovely. Original features mixed with modern. The staff were friendly. The food however was next level! We had dinner in the restaurant and it was one of the best meals we’ve ever eaten. The waiting staff and bar tender were lovely as well.

Ok but not 10 out of 10

- Ear plugs in the room in case of loud noise - Loud noise from plumbing/bathroom all the time - Crowded parking - Only one pack of biscuits and rather small cups

What a fantastic stay!

Stayed in the windmill for just one night after arriving from France after a long drive. What a place! Gorgeous old English pub with lots of places to smack your head and absolutely nothing is straight… the room itself is lovely and simple with a great bed and everything you could need. We went down for a beer and a meal and all of the staff were lovely and could not do enough for you.. the meal was fantastic, I took, with my son, the beef Wellington which is the best I have ever had, even after a lifetime of eating in great restaurants. The wine was all from England and although not as good as some French varieties was a nice touch. The cheese board was local and delicious. After a good nights sleep, we went for the included breakfast. First thing is that you gave lots of options, second point is that it is absolutely fantastic and tasty. Great place, great staff and so happy I booked in. Can’t wait to stay in the summer and use their great beer garden and barbecue…
