8/10 Very good

Great place but the pics are misleading

I don’t think it looked quite like the pictures but it was very comfortable and the bathroom was very nice. Slightly smaller than expected but clean and convenient.

This is my third stay at this hotel. The only drawback is the stairs, but the spacious and comfortable rooms, complete with a small pantry, make it feel like a home away from home. I would recommend this hotel for visitors with small luggage, as navigating with large bags can be challenging. During this stay, we encountered some issues with the toilet. However, as always, the staff were extremely helpful and provided 24/7 support to resolve the problem. Despite these challenges, we are happy to stay here again when we return to London.

Great location, excellent facilities and very close to King’s Cross, great value, only downside if you are a light sleeper take earplugs.

Was very comfortable

The large shower head was broken and the shower door very hard to open and close

Excellent

Great property in a good location, it uses an app/website to access the building and property which is a bit clunky but seems to be a standard thing.

Cute apartment very conveniently located. Street noise and noise from King’s Cross stations loud at times.

I loved this place. In the heart of London, easy to get around. The renovation is really beautiful, exactly what I expected from the photos. Sometimes a bit noisy, but if it’s quiet you’re looking for you really shouldn’t be coming to London.

Property ok and spacious, however very noisy. Also no lift so try and get a first floor flat!

8/10 Very good

Very misleading photos.

Good location but overall very small, crazy steps and absolutely no human interaction during the stay by staff. No AC, appropriate linens, paper towels and cooking hot plate. Wouldn't recommend staying in such a small space for this expensive price. No balcony.

Too noisy!

Everything about the accommodation is lovely including a comfy bed and lovely shower. Just such a shame that the windows don’t shut out the noise from the people and traffic outside. Put me off staying again

Central location

Very nice and clean apartment. Central location. But bring your earplugs because very noicy from the street. Also cold in the apartment so worm sleeping clothes recomended (I stayed during winter). Change of windows would be a suggestion for the owner, both due to the noice and the draught. Very nice and quick reply from the staff in e-mail when I had questions.

Great place to stay but beware the stairs

This is a great place to stay Rooms are comfortable and it is extremely well equipped (other than a wine bottle opener) BEWARE the stairs are narrow, plentiful and there is no elevator; so getting luggage in and out is difficult. If you are young and fit this wont be an issue but I don't recommend to anyone with large amounts of luggage or more senior. This is on the whole a great place to stay with all the amenities and REALLY close to Kings Cross, I loved the small kitchen that meant you didn't need to pay London prices for all meals

8/10 Very good

Apartment was spotless and as advertised. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. Had asked for and been promised early check in at 1. Arrived at 2:50 after a Transatlantic trip and was not able to access. Amazing gentleman on call got me in and into my apartment. Tiny, narrow scary stairs and no elevator. So if you are fit and travelling light, don’t hesitate. Cleanliness 5*

2/10 Poor

Well equipted, central room with poor maintenance

Decent room and easy to access but some repairs are much needed. The radiator in my room did not work, doors close only after applying heavy pressure. Its a pretty noisy environment, but the location could not be more central. Equipment very good.
Christian Meyer, 2-night trip

It was a lovely studio but no running water in kitchen and very cold the radiator was half on in the room and the bathroom radiator wasn’t on at all
Carol, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

I couldn’t possibly recommend…..

I couldn’t possibly recommend anyone books this accommodation. As per other reviews, the windows don’t close and it’s on a main road opposite one of the busiest train stations in the world. I stayed 3 nights and didn’t get more than 3 hours sleep each night due to the noise, brightness, draft and general noise from throughout the property. Shower didn’t work on day one so a completely cold shower and the radiator basically cold so there’s this little heater in the middle of winter. It looks modern but if the owner doesn’t sort those issues then people deserve to know in advance.
Adam, 3-night trip

4/10 Fair

Apartment was very clean and we were impressed at first. However huge draft through windows which meant we were freezing at night and had a very unpleasant night. It also meant we could hear lots of noise from outside. The next morning none of the electrics (apart from the lights worked). My husband went out to get food and when he came back he couldn't get in. To get into the apartment you do not get a key, you have to use an app, but the app kept saying you can't access the property at the moment. So I had to wedge open the apartment door and walk down to the main door to let him in. I then tried to have a shower but the water was stone cold. Hotels.com said the checkout is 11, but we received an email saying checkout at 10, so I messaged the owner and they confirmed we could stay until 11. However, someone knocked on our door at 10 expecting us to be ready to leave. Double glaze the windows, draft proof the windows, get normal locks for the front door and don't switch electrics off so your guests leave early and then it would be a pleasant stay.

8/10 Very good

Overall, the value for our stay was good. There were definite positives and negatives to the property (I’ll try to outline below). I would say that if you look at our ‘negatives’ list, and nothing on there is a flag - go for it. Positives: - Ultra Clean room and common spaces - Easy access to King’s Cross terminals, buses, taxis - Good direct communication with CitySpace when we needed to modify our reservation for number of guests and check-in times - Kitchenette was well-equipped for cooking utensils and plates/silverware Negatives: - VERY hard to find the correct door, even with the check-in email instructions. We arrived late after all-day travel, and it was very frustrating to march up and down this couple of blocks at night looking for a sign (it’s a tiny printed sign next to a door by the Lincoln Arms pub). - Since we were from the US, our data connections were not working, so we couldn’t access our codes to get in (again at 11:00 at night). Another guest happened to show up 10 minutes after us, and he was gracious enough to hotspot us long enough to get the codes sorted. - There was no way to cool the room down - windows don’t open (in our room, anyway) and there is no air con or fan available. It was warm and humid during our trip, so there were uncomfortable moments (and this is mid-April). I can’t imagine July or August in that space. - While convenient to the train stations, there are a fair amount of homeless and beggars right there on York.
Rich, 4-night trip

2/10 Poor

False advertising, poor customer service

Booked accommodation Cityspace King's Cross for 24th to 26th May, was advised by email on 22nd that the apartment I had booked would not be available due to overrunning maintenance work, I was offered full refund or an exchange to their sister property in Leicester Square with a 20% discount. As I had a concert (non refundable at short notice) and travel costs (also non refundable at short notice) I accepted the swap in good faith. On arrival to the Leicester Square property, I was able to gain access to the property with access code however despite 3 attempts I was unable to access the room, I contacted the helpline and they remotely operated the door, I was still unable to operate it despite confirming with the helpline that I had the correct code. On entering the room, I was very disappointed to say the least, whereas King's Cross was an apartment this was a single room with everything crammed in. The photos on the website show the room when it was first appointed however I fear that may have been some years ago, marks on walls where furniture had been rubbing, wood trim removed from walls leaving unsightly gaps. The room was grubby to say the least, there was no cover on the ironing board, the bed was crammed into an alcove. I am not sure when the room had last been made up, there was a half empty bag of ice in the freezer, surely this should have been disposed of. I went out to the patio and all I could hear was the sound of air-conditioning units and the smell

Great location and excellent price. While there was some construction and general noise outside, it didn’t bother me much overall, I had a good stay.
