Checked in late. The person who checked us in let us know we were upgraded to a larger unit. We had an unexpectedly large unit on the top floor, one of only three rooms on that floor. An amazing surprise for my birthday trip! Breakfast was also outstanding.

Nice place and clean. Breakfast was good but not as good as everyone made it seem in previous reviews. Staff was kind and helpful. Couple of issues. It was summer, so room was warm requiring us to have windows open. Right outside our window was a night club that had loud noise until 3 am or late. Also, the bathroom was very small. However, bed was comfy and tv had the ability to use streaming services that helped us drown out the night club noise. Try to ask for a room that doesn’t face the same direction as the entrance. I’d stay here again.

Mixed Reaction

I have a mixed review of the hotel. I booked the stay through Hotels.com the evening before; however, when we checked in the next day, the clerk claimed she could not find our reservation even after I showed it to her on my phone. She charged me for the room. She assured me I would not be double charged. Well, upon returning home and reviewing my credit card transactions online, I found that I was indeed billed twice. I have contacted the hotel to get this taken care of. In all my booking with Hotels.com, I have never encountered this. Having said that, we were pleased with the hotel. It is walkable from the Central Train Station and is about 3-4 blocks from the waterfront. The room was quite spacious, and we enjoyed the breakfast which was both plentiful and delicious. We also ate at the hotel's restaurant one evening and were pleased.
