TV doesn’t work. Toilet won’t flush. Booked the $29 option $33 after tax but upon arrival told that bathroom is separate and breakfast was not included like advertised. Paid $60 more just to upgrade to the bungalow with no TV and bugs. Worst decision but we drove so far from airport to get here.

Service is a bit inefficient, they say breaksfast included but no breakfast was served to me. Amenities are fairly simple and nondescript but otherwise peaceful and enjoyable.

I was in the room les than an hour, full of spiders, giant ants, and roaches. I killed many of the bugs with my repellent (finished a new bottle). I pulled the night table because it was full of bugs. I spoke with the host, she had someone go with a bug spray bottle and told me to stay out of the room. I told her i want my money back because there is an inch gap under the door and more bugs will come in. She offered me another room but she said all her rooms have bugs including lizards/geckos. I asked for my money back and she refused to do the right thing. Also when I arrived she gave me a room with no AC and no bathroom/shower and said breakfast is not included. I was riding uber with a giant luggage and didn’t want to look for another place but the bugs was the last straw! Give me my money back!

Got to the property and the gate had a chain & lock on it. It was pitch black dark no lights. Thank God my driver waited. After a hr of waiting a man came & told me there was no reservation. No one spoke English. I had to find a hotel late at night. Called Expedia next day they could not get in contact with hotel. I paid out of pocket for the rest of my stay. EXpedia would not refund or help me with another hotel. I called eveyday while in Elsalvador. They kept telling me they could not contact anyone. I got a partial refund when i got back home. The dis not want to. Stayed on the phone for 3 hrs while they tried to keep calling hotel

We left

It was really dirty and uncomfortable, our bedsheets were stained and had bugs in them, the bathroom was not working properly and there were lizards in the room. The pool was very dirty as well. We left only an hour after arriving because we didn’t feel comfortable and we asked for a refund but didn’t get it.

8/10 Very good

Visiting the homeland with my family we decided to stay at Santorini given the proximity to the popular local beaches and restaurants as well as short drive to La Libertad. Santorini has all the basic amenities and Alex the grounds keeper was a wealth of knowledge and hospitality making our 4 nights stay a delight. My only concern was the lack of flexibility offered by the kitchen staff who only served breakfast between 8-9am, no before or after, which cause me to go without breakfasts 1 of the days there since I was 10min late returning from my morning run. Still Alex was amazing and offered me a cup of coffee to help me out on the missed breakfast

Very unfriendly staff, dirty pool with dead frogs inside, dead cockroach was lying for 3 days in the dining area

2/10 Poor

We expected the pictures and price to reflect the hotel. The pool water was brown and dirty, and had been for a while. The outdoor areas had collapsed and there were holes in the roofs. The lawn was never cut, and there was no warm water or wifi in the bungalows. If this was a hostel @10 dollars a night, I would have expected it. But we paid 4-5 star hotel price for something that was a weather torn hostel. Judging by the trampoline’s condition, this had been in its current state for a very long time. We could have spent the money on a hotel with a working pool, wifi and clean bathroom. This is a run down hostel, not a hotel.

TL:DR: DO NOT STAY HERE. This place sucked to be honest. Keeping this review short, the room I booked for myself and three of my friends was a bunk bed with a queen bed. When we got our room it was a bunk bed and a full bed. Not what was promised and paid for. The “one minute walk to the beach” is a lie as it’s actually a 7-10 minute walk down about seven or eight blocks. If you try to go behind the village and directly to the beach, it’s apparently just a river or something, so you can’t enter the beach that way. Our room was dirty and the pools at the village were gross. My bunk bed literally had spider webs on the corners. The WiFi also just does not work. I was excited to finally have a good internet connection but I get one bar, if any connection at all, from my room. The free breakfast was made up of the worst bread and coffee I have ever eaten, some scrambled eggs, and two plantains. We saw a sign advertising an all you can eat breakfast for $8 and laughed and we had to look around for a single worker to even be served our “free breakfast” that was included with the booking. My roommates and I solely booked this place because it was the closest to the beach and cheap, but I promise you, DO NOT STAY HERE.

Be prepared to get a charge for every step you take. Swim with bugs. Shower in the dirt. And sleep with unclean sheets and towels

I recommend you consider looking at all reviews. I had booked 2 rooms for 4 guest for 2 nights. After showing up to the nasty hotel Vanessa the lady that greads you advised their was only 1 room available. I tried getting my full refund from expedia but management at that hotel lied and said they had offered me 2 better rooms for the same price to avoid me getting my full refund. They are liars, unethical, and unprofessional. The ratings on Santorini Village is horrible. Customers service is terrible, the pools are dirty, when you show up you will regret staying here. Please boycott Santorini Village.

6/10 Good

Needs improvement

Needs improvement many things are broken example the deck at the restaurant area is missing part of the floor(wooden floor) and is a safety hazard. Faucet, shower and drains are not working properly. Such a beautiful place with potential a lot of potential. The balcony deck in one of the cabin has missing wooden pieces as well overall nice place

Disorganized, person in charge did not know what she was doing. No reception to ck in. Dirty old rooms, leaking plumbing but the main problem rooms were full of mosquitos. We left and did not stay.

I arrived about 5:pm in the airport, picked up my car rental, 5:30 pm, then head it to have dinner, I arrived at the hotel 7:pmt, doors gate, gas locked, so we call just to say policy is to be in the hotel before 6:pm they told me to wait for 30 minutes until someone can come to unlock the gate & checking, I get penalized with a fee, not big deal of the fee, They told me I have to pay $30 more from my original booking, no problem with that, But no shower, no toilet, one twin bed with filty bedsheets, no tv, tiny room no chair or table to place my stuff. I will make it clear to any guest it’s your decision, make sure you pay cash what you think is fair, don’t fall for this hotel, it will show they don’t have rooms but they alway do, 5 minutes walk is many hotels in el tunco with so much to do inside. Don’t stay here unless you have no other choice.
