Lovely centrally located hotel

I had a great solo stay here. Every staff member I interacted with was incredibly friendly and helpful. I paid $14 for breakfast each morning, which felt like good value for money with hot drinks, juice, bread and pastries, cereal, fruit etc The hotel is in a good location for walking to everything you are likely to want to visit during your stay. The only 'downside' is that the room would get very hot during the day. This was not really a problem for me as opening the window did cool it down enough to sleep, but if you are staying in the middle of summer when the weather is much hotter this could be an issue. I would really recommend staying here!

Great find in excellent location

Great hotel right near the old town and easy walking distance from Eurostar station. Staff very friendly and helpful, made to feel really welcome. Arrived early with intent to store luggage, but room was ready so they let us in early. Only down side was no kettle in the room to make a cuppa when i woke up.

Beautiful hotel right in the centre of the city. Typical French interior and rooms. We really enjoyed our stay and only small criticism - the bed could have been softer. however, this did not spoil our stay. Well done and thank you

Good location. Simple, clean rooms. Staff welcoming. Pedestrian but serviceable bathroom. Didn’t eat breakfast- much cheaper elsewhere. Fab bakery Boulangerie Mathieu a couple block’s away was our morning fave! Try the Bleu Canard for dinner across street!

Definitely a place for those who prefer old-fashioned charm, but not tacky at all. Unfortunately the lift was broken when we were there, and we couldnt find any heating or a/c controls, but the room was very comfy. Decent breakfast, friendly staff. We did enjoy it overall.

Great location and fairly easy to find, it is within a few minutes walk to the Opera de Lille and the Grand Place. The staff were friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out was straightforward. The decor was impressive in the foyer, and the room decor was decent. All of the facilties were in working order and easy to use. Plug adapters were available. The room temperature was comfortable, as was the bed. It was wonderfully quiet except for when staff were walking down the corridor but this was only briefly. I did notice it could have been cleaner in the bed, and the carpet seemed to have dog hairs.

The hotel is very well situated. The immediate impression from outside is disappointing due to construction to the rhs. The staff were pleasant and the hotel in the public spaces is quirkily decorated and well-presented. The room was average size but there was a mould issue in the bathroom, however the mouldy shower head was dealt with swiftly. There was no a/c and we suffered from mosquitos at night and plastic lining on mattresses, as well as noise from building work? We did not try breakfast but had a nice glass of wine in the bar area. All in all ok but would probably not choose to stay again but rather try somewhere different if returning to Lille.

The room I was given had a broken shutter blind and was stuck half way down the window . Which meant you could only open the window a tiny amount It was excessively hot during my visit ( 32 degrees ) - I asked for the window to be sorted but was told it was broken - I knew that . I then suggested a fan at least in the room . Was told I could have one but should go to reception myself to collect it. Very difficult to be in that room at that temperature . On a more positive note : the gentleman who served breakfast both days was really helpful and made me feel very welcome . The hotel is also in an excellent location . Such a shame the experience was marred by the window situation
