Inn is experiencing renovation. They’re adding a kitchen. Some of the rooms still need to be refurbished. Otherwise it was a very comfortable stay

Stayed here one night between two other locations. Fair location in our holiday and aware it was cheaper than the rest of our trip but needs some updating. Not the standard we are used to at similar prices.

The Aberfoyle Inn is absolutely delightful. Great staff, lovely site. However, it was listed as a hotel in Stirling. It is not. Over 20 miles away. Do not be fooled by the listing on the internet.

Location is ideal and the rooms we got in the 'cottage' was spacious. Lady checking us in was also super helpful and kind. The rooms were super clean, but the decoration was a bit lacking, mirrors were in the floor rather than hung up, tv was on a rickety table etc.. the shower was great though we could have done with instructions as 'cold' on the dial was what made water hot!!! It was also a bit noisy outside at around 1/2am on the Friday probably from people leaving the restaurant/pub below. Comfy beds and ideal place to stay though! Breakfast was VERY basic, boxed cereal, yoghurt, toast and apples/oranges/bananas, but better than nothing!

The Bar was quirky..... that is the most positive thing i can say. Under refurbishment but the main starcase in the hotel with its broken floor tiles, Fire address panel that is faulty and missing smoke alarms make this place an accident waiting to happen. Fire doors wedged open and that was before i even made it to the bedroom. The bathroom was tiny dated and quite frankly filthy. The bedroom appeared clean however the bedding if cleaned had certainly not been ironed. An expensive mistake that will never be repeated this place was abysmal. I did email my concerns to the hotel with no response, this indicates the level of customer care to expect

We arrived at 5.30pm on NYE to find our room dirty, slept in by staff, rubbish bins everywhere and mouldy, damp and cold. This was a special night away for my partner’s Christmas present and to bring in the bells in what we thought would be style considering the £121 price tag for room only.
As it’s rural we had no choice but to just drive home. I booked this on December 4th and obviously with it being so late on NYE we couldn’t find alternative accommodation or celebrations.
No compensation or help was offered. Just refunded promptly and ushered out!
The staff seemed to be having in-house arguments about other staff with the manager sitting outside in her car avoiding us at all costs and leaving it to the bar staff to sort. One particular member of staff was very shocked and couldn’t apologise more but it wasn’t her sole responsibility.
Avoid at all costs.
This hotel should not be on this site as it is portrayed suitable and definitely was not- I’m being kind when I write that.
The management should hang their heads in shame.
I will be emailing head office.

Efter mindre end 10 min brusebad var der ikke mere varmt vand. Gammelt og meget slidt hotel. Dog hyggelig bar
