The staff was really helpful and the hotel itself was nice. We had an issue with our room and they upgraded us to a nicer room. The breakfast buffet was normal for a hotel soggy bacon and sloppy scrambled eggs. I would stay away from their onsite restaurant Cayote. First they didn't have an basic item on the menu, then they screwed up the order and forgot to bring cutlery. It was not a very good experience.

Hotel Taburiente, Santa Cruz - Excellent

Our stay as a couple was excellent. There were only a couple of minor things that we found not good was that there were no where reachable to hang your bath towels, there was no soap dish in the bathroom and also there were no places to hang up dresses and longer items of clothing. Other than those few things everything was fantastic - 100%. The food was superb. We definitely would recommend this hotel and we would stay here again.

Great Stay

Lovely hotel opposite the park…fantastic breakfast great food and great choice. Only concern was the air con in the room was not the best. Nice central location very close to city centre. The roof terrace was nice.

Nice hotel by a really good park.

Excellent location, very friendly and welcoming staff. Parking was not easy to find on the street, or book with the hotel. They have a few places in their own car park. We used the underground car park just down the road. €12/day but easy to find and there was always a place. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby.

Great location, cozy hotel

Very nice, small cozy city hotel in a nice district with many restaurants in the area overlooking a beautiful park. Beautiful roof top terrace and pool. Gym is small but works well. The garage is not practical since it is very small and difficult to maneuver in, especially if you have a larger car. Staff is helpful and rooms are OK.

The hotel is in a good location. Breakfast was superlative with a lot of choice in both savoury and sweets. The gym on the terrace was great as well as the swimming pool area. The room and the bathrooms were very basic and furniture was quite old and would require updating. The staff was rude and not professional.

Unfortunately the photos of the room we ordered did not match the reality. There are different types of the “garden view” room, and the ones you see on the pictures are just 2 out of 8. The rooms are quite dated. We had to change our room because the aircon broke down. The breakfast was very mediocre. The only outstanding facility is the pool and the gym on the roof top. It is amazing.

Great location & staff, clean but a bit tired.

Great location and friendly service. However, the sink in our room was chipped and the wooden counter was water-damaged. The shower temperature fluctuated rapidly from cool to scalding. The jacuzzi looked great but was too cold to be comfy and the gym was poorly equipped with machines (tho good selection of free weights etc) and the stepper did not work.

The hotel is located right at the edge of a beautifulf park. Excellent location close to the city center though. Breakfast was o.k., if you like cold eggs, because there was no installation to keep it warm. When the hotel is full, the breakfast room was a bid chaotic, but this was not the fault of the staff, they were simply too few, to clear all tables, refill the supplies, and welcome guests. My criticism is more a message to the management. Though I am not thinking that this will change anything. The room was very clean, well served, but more standard, than superior.

They give us a room that was not as seen online. They also give us a room that was 2 single beds even though they asked whether 2 singles or a double. Room was small and nothing like the photos. Also room was not ready even after they told us to return at 2pm, which we believe is when they just give us any old room. Location of the hotel is not great, not close to any bars etc. We ended up checking out a day earlier and finding another hotel to stay in. Pool area was very nice however very quiet and often overcrowded.

Property was difficult to find, set back off the street and not well marked. I chose this hotel because it advertised parking. I had to park in a taxi stand and run in to ask only to be told sorry our parking is full, good luck finding something on the street. After 45 mins of driving around and 25 mins of walking and dragging my bag to the hotel (pregnant by the way), there was no care given by the front desk for my troubles. Just a shrug of the shoulder. I ate dinner in the Cayote restaurant. I would not eat there again but will leave that review separate. Room was average, pillows need replacing. The park just in front of the hotel was beautiful. Overall would not choose to stay here again because all of the inconveniences mentioned above and indifferent and unhelpful attitude from the front desk.

Two stays pre and post cruise.

The hotel is well maintained and we enjoyed our room with a view of the beautiful park. It’s also in a great position close to the city centre and the park. However it’s a bit of a maze with the way rooms are laid out. The pool area on the roof is also a lovely spot. The junior reception staff were lovely however the supervisor was very unfriendly and unhelpful. On our first visit for one night our room was not ready and also the air con didn’t work very well. As it was warm outside this was uncomfortable. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast. On our second visit things unraveled a little. There was a distinct aroma of pot being smoked in certain areas. In addition the hot breakfast of scrambled eggs bacon etc was stone cold both times. The most annoying aspect was the charge for pool towels. You had to pay a 10 euro cash deposit per towel…not allowed to put it on card. Having wasted time at reception to get towels and paid the cash they advised they had run out and we had to wait while they got some more. Totally unacceptable. In summary unfortunately the issues with the towels, breakfast, surly supervisor and air con would mean that we would not stay here again.

We enjoyed Medano as a location to start the holiday - buzzy little town which had a festival while we were there. The hotel was right in the heart of it, and we loved getting in to the sea from the sun deck. Finally found a parking spot quiet a few blocks away and had to push the case through the busy pedestrian areas. Our triple sea view room was looking back over to the harbour, and was nice.
