Room and hot tub was lovely. We were the only ones in the restaurant for lunch which was strange but food was good. Evening meal was a let down, had one waiter on and the poor lad was run ragged, had to cross off most of the things on the menu due to no availability and had none of the wine we wanted in stock. Wife is pescatarian so had very little choice for food. Vibe and decor of the hotel and rooms was very cool though and room was very cosy

What an utterly lovely find this place is. Quiet, rural views, clean, fabulous staff and exceptional facilities. There are lovely little touches in the rooms which makes the whole stay feel like a proper treat. I can’t wait to go back.

Lovely stay at Runa Farm

Food was lovely although my wife’s breakfast order was incorrect. Got black pudding and tomato despite asking not to have. A bit of a waste but rest of food was excellent. Bed was very comfortable. Room was lovely.

Overall great stay

Place was amazing, room was perfect, hot tub exactly how it should be. The only thing that let the stay down was how slow the service was with food in the restaurant, the food was really nice just the overall service wasn’t great that was both the evening meal and breakfast, the restaurant wasn’t busy either on the evening or morning so not sure if this is a 1 off or the normal but overall great stay I would definitely go back again but maybe not have a meal on the night especially.

Lovely location and warm welcome.

First time staying here. Warm welcome on reception, lovely room and stay. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Food was lovely-drinks on the pricey side but to be expected with being in a remote place! Bed super comfy and shower was fab! A lush stay all round ❤️

Amazing Stay – Relaxing Hot Tub & Fantastic Food!

We had an absolutely amazing stay! The hotel itself was beautiful, but the highlight was definitely the hot tub – the perfect addition for a truly relaxing getaway. From the moment we arrived, everything felt effortless and welcoming. The staff in the restaurant were fantastic—so friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. The food was outstanding, full of flavour and beautifully presented, and the cocktails were just perfect. Every little detail made the stay feel special, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious break!

This is a lovely place to stay, very peaceful and quiet and close to Barnard Castle. The staff are friendly and the service was excellent. The rooms are as good as they look on the photos. Good WiFi and place to catch up on work near the bar area. I see it is a Wedding venue too, I’d say it’s a great place for a party.
