Relaxed comfort and style

Comfortable stay. No stress as very relaxed. Room superb with little extras. Food tasty and a good selection of wine, staff knowledgeable about the food and beverages available, as well as the local area.

Charming hote

Very friendly and helpful staff, couldn't do enough for us. Beautiful room. Would have liked more vegetables dishes on the menu plus a choice of breakfast prices. I'm not a big eater and would just have had some yoghurt and a couple of croissants, which I felt was not worth £24. Evening meal was delicious and puddings lovely.

A very decent stay

We had a night away at the Hotel Du Vin for my wife's birthday. The hotel was classy, the food was good, nice bar area. We would return.

Great service throughout, fantastic room and excellent roll top bath and shower!
Nicholas, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The hotel was quaint, food was great and the staff were exceptionally helpful. We booked the mini suite which was beautiful but unfortunately the room was really cold due to the heating not working properly and we had to request the robes and slippers which were not in the room upon arrival. Parts of the hotel are currently being refurbished so there is disruption throughout the ground floor and there is a limited amount of parking on site, reserved for those with a blue badge. Aside from those issues we had a lovely couple of days at this hotel

Great stay at HDV Poole

We had a great time at the hotel and enjoyed an excellent night using the bar on Friday with a happy hour offer and £30 to spend behind the bar if we did not need our room serviced. We accepted this offer and enjoy a great evening in the lounge with our dog Mia. The only downside is that parking is extremely limited to only 12 cars.

meager portions at larger prices

Hotel was great, although currently undergoing a refit in the bar & restaurant, service was very attentive. Parking is an issue as car park was full but there is a larger public car park, £13 per 24hrs, would be nice if, as a hotel resident they would off set this as the hotel car park is so small and can only fit 6-7 cars, so that would have been a nice gesture as a guest. food was great, but very small portions, I ordered the king scallops for starters only to have two scallops which was really disappointing, especially for the price!! overall a let down by the food, the service was great just a shame the portions were so small for the price you are expected to pay.

Just had a quick 1 night stay. I was traveling with my elderly mum and Brooke on reception was so kind and accommodating. The room with accessible bathroom was excellent. Great location to enjoy the old town and very good breakfast.

6/10 Good

The hotel was very clean and room nice but at the top of 2 narrow staircases which I wasnt told about and could been a problem for some. The bar staff were excellent. We ate 8n the restaurant and i have to say it was a big disappointment

All fine, however it was irritating not to have hooks in the bathroom for bath robes & an accessible mirror with enough light for ladies to use when putting on make up etc & men to use when shaving.

Great hotel and breakfast.

This is the 4th time we have stayed at the hotel when visiting family. The hotel is in a great quiet location, a short walk from the key. Friendly staff and a great breakfast. We will be back.

Above and Beyond

There was nothing that was too much trouble for the hotel and the staff. I made requests that, in some cases were not normal procedure for them, but they stepped up and provided the support I requested. I cannot recommend this hotel more highly. It really was first class.
