Beautiful hotel in beautiful surroundings comfy bed and lovely shower. Perfect for a rest before an early morning flight. Yes, you do have plans go over but you get used to them after a while and we as a family enjoyed plan spotting.
Gemma, 1-night trip

Very friendly and helpful staff.
Demi-Leigh, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

Excellent stay only one thing, if you are a light sleeper the planes might wake you up around 6am.
Serhan, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

Lovely room, incredibly helpful staff. The only thing was the room was quite hot but I probably could have requested a fan. Overall I highly recommend this hotel!!
Caitlin, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

With the exception of expensive taxi/Uber to get to/from airport around the corner - the hotel is absolutely perfect. Staff also 10/10 and noise from aircraft taking off is not too bad.
Lee, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

An excellent place to stay as it’s close enough to London and Cambridge by car. On site parking is a benefit. The only inconvenience is that it’s under the flight path for Stansted but the bedrooms are well insulated for sound and it’s not a disturbance unless one is enjoying the beautiful garden and water feature in the summer while dining al fresco! I would definitely stay here again and give it a clear 4 out of 5 ! The staff are professional and competent
Devaka, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Lovely setting just right for a stop over around stanstead

6/10 Okay

Nicely decorated hotel,comfortable
Alex, 1-night trip

6/10 Okay

The room is right next to a busy road, it’s so close you can see the road from the window. Also lack of privacy as the main door to the rooms is right next to the only window in the room.
Louise, 1-night trip

4/10 Poor

Very poor and unfriendly staff. Room was in horrible condition. No lights bulbs in the lights, shower door did not close, so water would get over the floor. Very dirty room. Outside from the room and staff the property is lovely. The one bright spot is the restaurant. Food was incredible and restaurant staff were fantastic!!!
Michael, 4-night trip

8/10 Good

Beautiful grounds - lovely location for dinner or a cocktail. Hotel didn't have air conditioning and when we were there at the end of May it was warm! The room was quite stuffy and too hot to sleep.
Katherine, 1-night trip

Fabulous building with stunning grounds

Beautiful building with spacious rooms. Lovely area to sit away from the bar. Lake is amazing also. Staff friendly enough.
Andy, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Very pleasant hotel, with really good food

A smart hotel, with pleasant surroundings. Food in the restaurant was excellent, and very reasonably priced. The planes to and and from Stansted were regular, but we were aware of this before our stay, and it didn’t cause us any issues.

Relaxing overnight stay for the airport

Excellent overnight stay, room had all that we required. Staff were 100% attentive and very polite. Food was excellent too. Would recommend to others.
Maria, 1-night trip

6/10 Okay

The rooms themselves are fine, check in was an easy process, ample car parking. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided, which was a nice touch. I’ve only awarded the property 3 stars because is it located directly under the flight path of Stansted airport. I stayed in a room on the top floor, prior to an early morning flight, and it was so so noisy with regular planes flying overheard that I had trouble getting to sleep. Far from ideal when you need to be up at 3am!
Emily, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Close to Stanstead

The manor is absolutely beautiful inside and outside. We only stayed 1 night but will be back for a longer stay.
1-night trip

6/10 Okay

Beautiful external areas (garden) very nice restaurant. They have a damp issue so strong smell of damp in the corridors & my room. Damp on walls in bathroom. Obvs noise from planes, but it's under the flight path for Stansted so that was no surprise and they mention the noise in emails.
Natalie, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

Great location for Stansted with free parking. Very friendly, clean and the bed was comfy! When the restaurant opens it’ll be perfect for a stop over for those early flights!
Alston, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

Room was just as advertised and had everything we needed - except hair conditioner. Easy and helpful check-in staff. Clean. The collection of buildings were absolutely stunningly cute and well-maintained, especially for the age, and nice explorable grounds. Not much open in the area or walkable past evening time. Quick cab ride to Stanstead. Beds a bit on the short size, rooms could use fans in the summer. Opening the windows was an option but we were on the road side which was surprisingly noisy for most of the night, in addition to very loud planes overhead nearly every 5 minutes well past 11 pm. Nice place, but bring ear plugs or a white noise machine.
