Wonderful stay

The room was lovely, well turned out and clean. Amazing location, was visiting with older relatives and everything was still in walking distance. The bed was super comfy too. Didnt have breakfast because we thought it was expensive considering how many cafes at half the price were nearby. Only downside was the lack of air con in the room. It was very warm! All the staff at reception were excellent.

I really liked this hotel and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic, just across the road from the train and bus station and there is a kiosk right outside the front door where you can buy a day ticket for just €5. There is also a large shopping centre right across the road and a 10min walk will take you right to the old town where there are lots of really good bars and restaurants, not to mention the historical sights, churches and museums of all types. The room was very nice in general but the one criticism I would have is the shower over the bath was not in good shape and it was quite difficult to shower properly without lifting the shower head off as it wanted to point toward the wall and not in the direction it should have. So as not to leave this on a less positive note, I would still definitely stay here again when I return to Riga.

Comfy room (superior double), although bathroom while in great condition could use modernisation and more thoughtful amenities (just single use soap bars and a combo shampoo/shower gel). Definitely not a bad 4* hotel and good value for money. But sure there are better 4* hotels in Riga.

I had a wonderful experience at Hotel Opera in Riga. The location is perfect—just steps from the Old Town and opposite the central train station, making it super convenient for exploring the city.
