The front desk staff were amazing—very friendly, professional, and helpful—and the room itself was very clean. The location is also excellent and convenient for getting around.
However, I can’t say I really enjoyed my stay overall. The room’s design tries very hard to be “unique,” but it sacrifices practicality and doesn’t make much logical sense. This all made for a rather uncomfortable stay. For example, there were three chairs (two hard wooden "antique" chairs that needed padding and a pleather loveseat that just faced into the room) but nowhere convenient to put our luggage. There was also a vanity, but none of the chairs were the right height or style to use with it comfortably. The bed was also quite uncomfortable.
So they sacrificed substance for style but the “artsy” elements felt a bit slapdash and cheap rather than thoughtfully designed. Overall, it just didn’t feel very well thought out from a guest’s perspective. I think it could have been amazing, but then it probably would have been out of my price range.
