My stay at V Lodge was far from ideal. Upon first glance, the room appeared acceptable, considering it’s a budget stay and I wasn’t expecting luxury.
However, as the night went on, I noticed red stains on the carpet, and upon closer inspection in the morning, it became clear that these were blood stains. Additionally, there were small traces of dried blood on the shower wall in the bathroom.
Security was also a concern—the chain lock on the door was broken, seemingly forced open at some point, and the bathroom door showed visible damage. The walls throughout the room were stained, contributing to an overall feeling of neglect. Also there was no kettle (not an issue to me but they had coffees and tea there), the bedside light had cobwebs and dust on it and there was no hairdryer.
To make matters worse, around 11 p.m., loud arguing outside disrupted the stay and made the atmosphere uncomfortable.
I did not feel entirely safe during my visit. While most of the staff were accommodating.
On a more positive note, the parking felt secure, and the location was decent.
However, cleanliness and maintenance need serious improvement. I would not recommend staying here in its current state, but with better upkeep, the hotel has potential.
