Do not stay here!!

I have never stayed in such a dirty Hampton! The bathroom mirror and shower stall was dirty, toilet paper holder was broken and laying on floor. Ceiling vents had dirt hanging out. Carpet and stairwells had dog hair everywhere. If there was anything else available in Cañon City we would have left. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was also not good. I would never recommend this place.

Hampton Inn Canon City needs staff overhaul

This hotel has very little staff. HVAC, indoor hot tub, ice machine, elevator needed to access upper floors were all broken and outside temperature was 96 degrees. Pool deck needed cleaned inside, worst breakfast selections of any hotel offering breakfast, carpets in halls needed vacuumed, no housekeeping help was available, and rooms were being cleaned as people arrived needing them. Worst hotel experience of any hotel we have stayed at ever.

Front desk staff was overwhelmed and stressed. They tried to be nice. They sent us to a room that wasn’t clean. When I went back they gave us a new room. This new room didn’t have towels. Nearly an hour for check in the front tenant was cleaning rooms as she checked people in because housekeeping didn’t come in that day. No towels broken dirty pool area no elevator it was out of order supposedly due to an outage. Breakfast stops at 9am on most days but this day because the staff shortage cereal and apples were all that was available. Finally at 11p the management came into my room without even knocking saying they thought the room was empty?????

Black mold

The shower was unusable. There was black mold on the floor tiles and on the inside and outside of the basin. The chairs in the room were stained and unappealing to sit in. there were various shades of paint on the walls, just hit and miss splotches. This hotel is in serious need of repair and upgrades. It does not meet typical Hampton Inn standards.

The place was obviously understaffed. At 3:00 check in we had to call a number on the desk to get someone to check us in. There were no towels, soap or drinking glasses in the room. A broken down office chair was pushed in a corner. At breakfast, there were no coffee cups the coffee was only luke warm, and had to be drunk with the plastic water cups we received the night prior. There were no forks and had to eat eggs with a spoon. Definitely, not what I expect from a Hampton Inn.

Dirty and

This hotel was dirty and had many broken amenities. The elevator was down (we were placed on the second floor), the pool was closed (Told us we could swim if we didn't mind the cold temperature of the water. Went to check it out and pool was full of mold and alge.), main hallway was closed due to water leaking out of the ceiling. Our room had dirty towels still in the bathroom, a previous guests socks on the floor, and stained sheets. The fridge was missing and the tub wouldn't drain. Upon complaint to the front desk, we were told he trusts his housekeeper and showed us the room had been marked clean but would move us. We were shown two other rooms and only one looked like it was clean and had a tub that would drain. (Sheets were still stained and we requested new linens.) The breakfast are looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a long time and food options were cold. It is clear the area is not wiped down or vacuumed.

Lackluster and underwhelming

Overall a very poor stay. Such a long list of things to name that we had problems with. 1. The elevator wasn’t working and they pleaded with us to try to put us on the 2nd or 3rd floor, but we had a lot of gear between the two rooms. They ended up putting one of the two rooms on the second floor and one on the first. The second floor room had no power working (lights, outlets, etc.). They ended up relocating second room to first floor after all the hassle. 2. Pool and hot tub were both out of order. 3. Self service laundry was out of order. 4. Gym had no water to drink. 5. They ran out of breakfast two different times during scheduled hours. 6. They ran out of wash cloths to use and had to wait for them to find more. Overall a poor experience with this hotel and would avoid if you can.
