KC to Bay Inn was a winner

It was a nice comfortable stay. The room was clean, in order and beds were comfortable. The view from the balcony was stunning and the fireworks on our final night was spectacular. The front desk clerk was helpful, friendly and very nice. I would definitely stay here again.

Good hotel for a stay in Mackinaw City

We stayed here for one night and it was great for our family. Loved the balcony off of our room to see the bay and islands. Our room seemed somewhat updated but also needed some additional updates or repairs (e.g., rusty air vents, some of the counter top was broken off), but otherwise suited our family.

If you need a space to stay while visiting Mackinac Island, easy walk to ferry. Rooms have two beds separated by the bathroom. Spacious but dated, clean.

Quiet and clean. Needs updating and general upkeep improvements. Plaster chipping in places, paint peeling, lobby smells like mildew. TV didn’t work well. The view off of the balcony was very nice and the hotel was quiet even with a lot of people there. The rooms were a good size and a good price. A good place to stay if not picky about the aesthetics.

Hotel is in very poor shape. air vents are gross carpet needs to be replaced, caulk in bathroom is dry rotted. pool area is a joke. so nasty not worth the money.

The room was nice and clean but they didn't come to clean the room until 530pm. It was nice to have a beach view but the beach was not kept up. Lots of weeds and lots of bird poop. It looked like they never rake the beach or take care of the weeds.

Don’t do it.

Room was run down. Broken tiles and dirty. Smoke alarm kept chirping. Staff was unable to do anything so I had to remove it and give it to the front desk. Queen bed was ok but king bed was very very firm. Killed 4 spiders in the 2 days we stayed. Please avoid.

Outdated with a view

***Feel free to read what was written below prior to finding out that one obnoxious family owns nearly all Hotels in Mackinaw City. After reading about the settlement between MI's AG and the Lieghio family in 2022, I am unsurprised nothing has been re-invested into the properties.*** Fantastic and friendly staff, that keeps the hotel very clean. The hotel is right next to Lake Michigan with a great view and a short walk to either Ferry service to the island. My complaint is how dated the hotel/rooms are. I understand being that close to the water means taxes must be outrageous, but you would think with what is being charged per night, there might be enough left over to modernize some aspect of the place.
