After our trip to Galapagos, we wanted a comfortable and safe stay in Historical area of Quito. Hotel Plaza Grande was a great find. This historical hotel is located an ideal area facing the main plaza, just nest to the presidential palace. - offers great view, lively sounds, wonderful accommodation and great services! We always felt welcomed, warm and safe here. One of the best hotels we have stayed.

The location in historic town center was very convenient to sites and excursions, however it was noisy at night. The church bells rang at 3am, etc...which interrupted a good night's rest. The room was spacious and had a lot of charm-the king size bed was extremely hard and not comfortable. There was one concierge throughout our stay (he checked us in) who was very attentive, helpful and professional...wish we remembered his name. It was nice to have the restaurant in the same building as the room. The food was decent.

Excellent stay. Awesome service and unbeatable location in the very center of old Quito. The hotel is kept in historic style. Rooms are well maintained, spacious and confortable. We felt totally safe, also at night time, as there is a lot of police in the area.
