The swimming pool was closed and that was the main reason we wanted to stay there. Service at the front desk was super slow. The lobby was backed up with people waiting to check in. We cancelled our stay, mostly because the pool was closed. Management didn’t even offer us any upgrade or any free service to make up for the pool being closed.

Communication solves all issues

I came for an official trip. Considering the nature of the trip, this was prudent to have a good night sleep and comfort to get recharged for the next day. After I made reservation, I made a phone call and requested for a room of my choice . I am so glad that all my requests were understood and considered. The front desk is super helpful and all the members of the team are friendly and knowledgeable. I am glad that I chose to stay at Zermatt.

All of the staff was super nice and helpful to accommodate us with any of our requests or needs. We received the same courtesy at the Z’s on site restaurant as well. The atmosphere so conducive to feeling like one is in the Alps. Midway is a beautiful setting for the Zermatt.

Run down property with mosquito breeding ponds

Front desk employees were amazing!!! The hotel itself needs to be renovated, it is falling apart and maintenance definitely is not a priority. The furniture is old and needs refinishing, broken tiles and carpet coming apart can be found everywhere. The ponds on the property are just mosquito breeding grounds with no circulation or maintenance. Don’t stay on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday if you want to eat at a restaurant on site. Our AC was set to 60 and couldn’t get the temp below 75. We stayed in the Penthouse suite. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Great property. Comfy room. The additional resort fee was not clearly explained on Hotels.com, so it was an unpleasant surprise when we arrived. Otherwise, great place.
