Clean and efficient

It was conveniently close to the airport. Reception was very helpful during check in and assisted us in hiring a taxi and a pizza. The room was clean and had all of the necessities. There is a very nice gym facility as well. The only drawback is that there is not a restaurant . A buffet breakfast is included, but there is nowhere nearby for lunch or dinner.

This hotel near the Oslo airport was very nice. The staff is friendly, the hotel is clean, and the beds were comfortable. It was very quiet in my room at night. They even provided a to-go breakfast for the early morning departures.

Family of four have enjoyed staying here during winter break. The breakfast food was amazing. Staff are kind and responsive. Hotel is very clean. Airport shuttle is convenient (not free though, around $7 each). Strongly recommended!

Good clean hotel with excellent breakfast spread. Couldn’t forget the delicious egg stations(sunny side ups, scrambled, omelette, etc). Can see and taste that the food were cooked with pride and dedication. Check in & out were fast. Only complaint is the airport bus shuttle isn’t free.

The hotel is on two floors, has an interesting design mimicking airplane hangers. It’s quiet, well kept and the room was spacious and clean. You can also make coffee in the room and there is a small refrigerator. Near the hotel you can take walks and it’s very green. A shuttle bus (you pay) twice per hour drives you to the Oslo airport. The staff is pleasant and the stay was worth it for the last night we spent before our departure. Breakfast is also excellent with many choices.

The whole hotel looked more like a youth hostel. There was no food on offer in the restaurant in the evenings, which was never the case in other Thon hotels. When I arrived, there were people sitting in the lobby and at the tables in the restaurant eating strong-smelling fast food (pizza burgers). There were pizza boxes and fast food cartons lying around everywhere. Young people were heating up food in the microwave and bringing it into the room, which ultimately explains why my room smelled like a McDonald's. There was a flyer for the fast food supplier in the room. It was accordingly loud at night until the early hours of the morning. In the morning, the disaster continued with a devastated breakfast buffet, empty juice machines, a broken espresso machine and ice-cold scrambled eggs. Never in the last 5 years have I paid so much money for such miserable accommodation!! The only thing that saved the Thon chain's image here was the good stay in Alesund and Kristansund, which were really top notch. Otherwise, I would only advise everyone against the Thon group. I will avoid the hotel in Gardermoen in future.
