Our Unforgettable Honeymoon

Our honeymoon at the Isla Bonita Yacht Club was absolutely magical. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an aura of peace and tranquility. The staff were incredibly attentive and the views of the Caribbean Sea right outside our front door were just stunning. We booked a Jet Ski tour with a local provider and they met us at the dock just outside our cabin. The location is the best part. Isla Bonita Yacht Club was just off the beaten path; not too much traffic but not far at all from all the most popular restaurants.

Great location, less than a mile from the airport and walkable to the downtown part of San Pedro. The property is a little dated, but almost everything was in good repair. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The one big complaint was the mattress in our bedroom was very lumpy and should have been replaced long ago. My partner and I did not sleep well any of the three nights we were in that unit.

We absolutely loved staying here! It was quiet, a quick walk to town, grocery store across the street, and an Excursion dock right in front of the resort. Our only complaint is there are gaps in between all the doors and we killed a mosquito or two pretty much daily. On the last day when it stormed I endured many mosquito bites and killed many mosquitoes inside the unit. My suggestion would be make sure you leave all the lights off when you're not in the unit. Other than that we absolutely loved the staff and the unit. I would definitely stay here again and it was a perfect location!

We stayed at Isla Bonita Yacht Club over the Christmas period, and it was fantastic. We had a well appointed apartment next to the pool. Everything was clean and in good condition. There's a front desk that is staffed most of the time, and a pier that has a diving and tour company you can arrange excursions through. The apartments are off the main road but it's very quiet in the complex. You can walk into town very easily, and if you walk along the beach there are restaurants within a couple of minutes.

We really enjoyed our stay at Isla Bonita Yacht Club. It was a quiet spot in busy San Pedro but still close to restaurants and other activities. Our room was clean and spacious and we enjoyed the peaceful outdoor sitting area with a view of the pool and the ocean. The kitchenette had what we needed to make coffee every morning, and do a little cooking. The best aspect of our stay was the friendliness of the staff and their willingness to go the extra mile: we left a set of keys behind when we checked out, and when they found them, they contacted us immediately and got the keys on a flight to Belize City where we picked them up at the airport as we waited for our flight back to the US. Wow - we really appreciated their extra care and quick response! Isla Bonita Yacht Club is a great choice if you want a peaceful, relaxing stay, but don't have a big resort budget, or don't want to be isolated in a far-flung hotel. It was a great way to experience San Pedro!
