This inn was just perfect for our time in NJ visiting our son. It is cozy, quaint and really feels like our new home away from home. Rooms are clean and the whole inn has special touches including fresh flowers, books and games, cute decor and a sweet breakfast area with great food! This is a quaint mainstay of the Jersey shore area, located inland in what used to be horse country. The staff was very nice, the room pretty nice (showing its age a bit), and the grounds were welcoming. They feed a couple of feral cats at the front of the inn, so you may see them during your visit. All things being equal, if you want a place that has historic charm, the Colts Neck Inn is a good choice.
