The whole hotel needs a good makeover as it looks somewhat shabby. I remember when it used to look really smart especially from the outside.
However the view from the hotel of Ben Nevis is stunning and the service excellent.

Terrible place
Absolutely terrible. They first didn’t have a room. Then gave us a room with no hot water, a broken bathroom light and a room that had a single bed in a closet sized space. The hotel is very run down and I actually tried to get a refund but they wouldn’t

Avoid
Poor from the start. Night manager never followed up on issues then denied what he said.
Middle of summer resistors full blast. Rad in the bathroom wouldn’t turn off.
Manager and staff promised fans then said they didn’t supply fans. In the morning was asked to return a fan that they didn’t have the night before.

It was okay but not amazing. The hotel definitely needs an exterior clean and a lick of paint. The inside felt a bit dated in the rooms. The lounge area was nice. The hotel felt a bit understaffed and service could be improved, but have to say the lad at the bar was great despite his young age. The food including breakfast was really nice, a good range of breakfast too. I’m not sure I’d stay again, potentially if I was in the area but wouldn’t rush back

Dated hotel- a bit depressing
Very expensive for what it is but that's Highland Scotland at this time of year. The hotel looks dated from outside and the public areas and bedrooms are the same. Interaction with staff was limited as I only checked in and checked out but on the one occasion I did request a little help it was not really forthcoming.
The interior is gloomy and needs fresh air.
Some rooms back onto a busy road and there's traffic noise throughout the day and night.
I didn't eat at the hotel so can't speak for the food offering.
Parking is free and plentiful.
Bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean

I stupidly thought that paying what I did for my two nights I would have a really comfortable bed. Everything is stained, walls carpets and the ceilings. Wall paper is hanging off in the dining room. There’s no restaurant available just bar meals (they were ok to be fair if you want chips with everything) the swimming pool was good but the sauna although useable is in a poor state of repair.
I would not stay here again even for half price!!

Our stay was overall good, but the entire hotel is in need of some TLC.
Looks very run down.
However the best part was the spa area and the staff were excellent 👍

Great staff, great price and lovely area. The outside could do with a lick of paint, new signage and a new roof. The spa side is great also. I sent every day in there.

Great value, no WiFi, a bit dated
Incredible value for money, if you don’t mind it being a bit dated! Overall the stay was great, doubt you’ll find a better place for the money. if WiFi had worked (only the staff WiFi was available) and the changing rooms for the gym were a bit cleaner / had less bugs in them I’d give it a 5 stars!

Pleasant enough stay
Staff were friendly, room clean but dated. The entire hotel is in need of updating.
Main issue was the room was too hot, with no way to cool it down without opening the windows and getting traffic noise.
