Rock solid beds

Over £100 for a room that didnt have any water in the room, no air conditioning, and the beds were rock solid! Which caused us to have a negative experience. Breakfast was simple but nothing outstanding that would distinguish it from.a budget hotel. Staff were friendly and feeback mentioned on check out.

A Curate’s Egg…. Good in parts.

Big room, good breakfast, good shower. Bedroom has little hanging space, dark even with lights on, hard corners on bed; easy to knock calves. Bed very hard to sleep on. Shower room on two levels - not great idea. Expensive to have non-moulting dog stay with us (£25). Breakfast staff brilliant. Car parking very good. Mixed feelings about it really; can’t say it represented much better value than stopping at a much cheaper Ibis hotel.

Worn carpet and wobbly taps, no coffee machine - room is a reasonable size. Unwelcoming lobby area. Demand for a physical credit card swipe. I don’t carrry them. Keep your card wallet, you can’t charge for stuff without it. Food is very good indeed, despite the menu card , that looks uninspiring. Shower is brilliant as are the Tesla chargers

We had high hopes for this hotel as we are moving to the area but unfortunately were left disappointed. Check-in was clunky & slow despite booking, they couldn’t find it, then had to fill out a form with address & have a physical credit card scanned. Bed was super hard which meant didn’t sleep. Breakfast looked great but coffee so weak it was undrinkable (even a double espresso was watery). We pointed it out & were told it was the machine & not running out of coffee which we thought must be the problem! And the sausages - very processed & not pleasant. And generally not really hot. Overall disappointing. Such a shame as the environment is great - decor very relaxing & enjoyed the ambience. The search continues for a good local place to stay!

Convenient stay for our journey further north towards Lincs & Hull. Stylish exterior and safe parking area, and facilities to charge EVs. Check in with a REAL person on the Desk. Bar and Grill extremely expensive. I'm sure it's fine for the majority sales people visiting on expenses, but not for the irregular leisure traveller. Clean rooms with intriguing storage solutions, some with views of Sherwood Forest. Beds are fantastic if you usually sleep on a brick bed. But generally pretty nice and 4☆ out of 5.

The furnishings are very tired. Settes in bar area very worn & have tears in them. Seating in reception dirty, woth stain marks o them. Actual bedroom, can't fault. But would not class the hotel as 4* . 3* at the most & expensive for what it is.
