It is the only hotel in the area so it doesn't really have to do a lot to ensure it is well used. For a hotel which is supposed to above mid range to use bed toppers is a poor show in my eyes and you can never get the sheets to stay on them. Although my bed was made up every day the floor was never properly swept although to be honest they kept the bathroom immaculately clean. There was no coffee available for the 1st 4 days as they had run out. Not good for a hotel this size and who points it as a special extra..

Decent Hotel between Amsterdam and Utrecht

I was able to find Bastion Almere based on the search function for a location I visited recently. It is not much of a luxury chain in that it is very no frills - no proper hand soap in the bathroom, based a little out of town, etc. The bed was very nice and the room itself was quite large without actually containing too much. The other facilities, e.g. the gym, are limited but still a nice touch, while the free parking is a plus. The staff are decent without exactly being friendly but they get the job done.

Nice hotel, decent size room and staff were great. Location. Was ideal for my purpose but is out of the way. Hotel dining options are limited. Breakfast was very good though. There is an Asian fusion place next door which is really good.

Nothing around, customer service needs work.

Location is horrific, literally nothing around. Check in was frustrating, arrived 30mins before check-in but was told a hard no, the receptionist didnt even check the system... I'm sure not all rooms get finished all at the exact same time, there was defo one room ready. Bar closed early, we sat for 15mins at the bar before we were told it was closed, despite staff members walking around us. One of the towels was stained in the room. Beds were comfy enough, cleanliness was okay.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. The property was very dirty, did not smell good, bathroom did not drain water properly. Breakfast buffet was extremely limited and not worth the price. The cooks never took instructions properly with the omelet. Carpets were very dirty as well. Rooms had weird odors. Booked rooms together but are charged separately at the property.

Spent most of the day out- back to the hotel room in the evenings. Room spacious, bed comfortable. Superficially clean. It’s until we removed bed sheets we noted dirty topper. Dust and mess behind bedside cabinets. Arm chair with white stains. See pictures If you look for hotel with gym on basic level: that’s the one. If you’re cross-fitter or exercise person in level expert- you might get disappointed. But 10 minutes walking distance- CrossFit and proper gym available 😀

The bald man on the reception was super rude. Very short answers and unhelpful. Not friendly at all, the rooms were barely clean the armchair in the room has white stains all over it. The aircon didn’t work so it was too hot to sleep on a night. So far from everything too which is rubbish.

Awful hotel

My stay was terrible. The room was very cold when I arrived. I complained and asked for another room and was reluctantly given one which was also cold. When I complained again the clerk said that this was not his region and there was nothing he could do. I asked if he could call his Manager and he said no he couldn’t. I asked if he could call service and he said they had all gone home. He was abrupt and had a bad attitude and I tried to explain to him that I was the one paying to stay at the hotel and the minimum I expected was a warm room. The toilet bowl was also disgusting and stained.
