Great hotel in downtown San Jose

Excellent hotel, superb staff who went out of their way to welcome and take care of us, top-notch food and helpful & efficient staff in the restaurant, very comfortable room and bed, overall superb. Downtown San Jose is interesting but a bit tatty, though a very prominent security presence was very comforting (though we did not tour after dark). The area is visually attractive but too full of souvenir shops, rather like New York's Times Square in the1980s. But the hotel itself more than compensated for the lack of neighborhood ambience.

Great little hotel!

The room and bathroom were immaculate and roomy. We had a wonderful dinner in the hotel restaurant up on the 4th floor looking out over the city. We ate in the lovely outdoor dining area surrounded by bougainvilleas. It was the best good of our trip to Costa Rica. The breakfast buffet the next morning was very nice with many options and excellent service.

An Excellent Stay

We had an excellent, although short stay at the Hotel Presidente. The room was very spacious. The extra amenities because of my Silver Status such as free gated parking, an excellent breakfast buffet, and sweet treats left in our room were much appreciated. I would recommend staying here and hope to return.

We really enjoyed the large and very comfortable beds and the best shower. The hotel was very cool and the staff super friendly and attentive. I highly recommend Hotel Presidente in San Jose. Great location.
