Hard to believe it’s legal.

Massive amount of construction, not communicated to me. Excavators outside my window, sidewalk at entrance is closed. Nearly impossible to get there. It shouldn’t be open. There are no staff. No service. Only their app that requires an immense amount of permissions.

The room was very nice and super clean. The only issue for us was that the mattresses were less than ideal - too hard and more like a futon than a hotel-grade mattress. Also, there's currently a lot of construction on the street.

Inside the unit is really nice. Clean and spacious. However, outside construction on the entire block was a very big inconvenience. I wouldn't book here again until it is completed. We had to keep the blinds completely closed the entire time. Our room (UNIT 204) faces an alley where upon arrival were met with a man right outside rummaging through garbage, he could clearly see into the room.

Clean and beautiful space and perfect for a trip to Mtl. It was very central and close to everything. Loved that they had a chromecast for me to cast my own shows. I was not a huge fan of the shower cause water kept splashing out - but overall still enjoyed the full experience! 10/10 would rebook!

The building is beautiful and in a great location, walking distance to Old Montreal and a block away from the Bixi bicycles for rent. The main issue was that there was very little counter space in the bathroom. A minor complaint is that the coffee was bad, I'd suggest a kuerig machine.

Am I the Only Positive Review?

We were in 2nd floor. Entrance to the building is easy to find. Front foyer and elevator were clean and modern. All the codes worked. Room was really nice and recently renovated. 2 small-ish beds and a couch 1 person could sleep on. Kitchen has what you need, but we had to buy 2 more fry pans. Microwave, stove and dishwasher worked perfect. Shower had good pressure and the water was hot. Couldn't really hear much from other guests. In the morning could hear some foot traffic above and some cars on the road. Nothing too bad. Wifi worked great. There was no mechanical noises and we were there for 6 nights and made it through a major snow storm. Parked at UQAM Christan. 5 minute walk. We had a good stay and would go back.

Great stay but Hotel.com's ad is mispresenting.

The rooms were absolutely stunning. Nothing wrong with the stay over there. The rooms are a bit small if you want to add in the baby crib it's quite hard for movement within the room. But everything else was absolutely nice and very according staffs at sonders'. They baby crib and high chair were provided by Sonders' Hotel.com mentioned they have 2 washrooms but NOPE only one. If it's two couples who would have taken the room. the room upstairs wouldn't be ideal for a couple because there's no privacy. It's prefect for a family of 4.

I thought the apartment was great! My only complaint was that the “2 bedrooms” were only separated by a wall that did not go all the way up to the ceiling. So we were basically in the same room and not private at all. This detail is not hidden in the photos, but when first booking I did not notice. Just a new thing to look for when booking rooms. We are very curious to find out why the dividing walls aren’t finished all the way up to the ceiling to create actual bedrooms. Maybe that’s normal in Canada, idk?

The hotel is a good hotel. It’s secure and in a good location to walk to a lot of places. We were given a room where right outside our window, there was extremely noisy construction being done on the buildings next door to us and around us. Large trucks were in and out with hammering and pounding starting at 6am. The walls were thin at this property and we could easily hear people in the suites joining ours. Our towel rack and soap dispenser in the shower both came apart including the plastic on the shower door to keep the water from leaking out. The internet was slow and would drop the streaming on the television. It’s a good looking hotel and I’m sure if it was a different time it would have been better but when I return to Montreal, I’ll either stay at a different location with Sonder or another company entirely.
