There are no words for the service and comfort at Athena. The staff at the front desk as well as restaurant and bar went above and beyond to anticipate our every need. The hotel offers the hospitality of a private inn with all the amenities of a four star hotel. A special shout out to the team at the front desk. Leaving them was like leaving dear friends. It was nice hotel with wonderful breakfast buffet. I wish I had more time to enjoy. But when I arrived after 7pm to the train station before checking in, we learned that there would not be a reception and we had to call but no one answered and it took time to find some to help us.

Very cozy hotel with parking included which is a real plus if you're travelling around Tuscany by car. Breakfast buffet (also included) was great. Although somewhat in the outskirts of the city, it's just a walk away from the historic center, and it's quite a pleasant walk thru beautiful, cobble stone streets and pathways. Highly recommend it.

Definitely stay here in Siena

Great hotel. Professional, friendly, helpful staff in all positions. Nice room, beautiful views. The only tricky part is parking. Make sure you have a definite plan in place before you arrive at the top of the mountain. You may not drive into the restricted area just past the hotel. The hotel does have small lots and valet right in front of the door (although it looks like a no parking zone).
