Basic clean budget stay

Very basic, building looks run down. However was perfect for a night sleep in between my travels. Staff were friendly. I would stay again for the price for what I needed.

2/10 Poor

This is not a hotel but a DSS hostel. Smell of weed in the corridors , shouting and loud music from rooms , TV and shower not working. Large dog in the reception area scaring the living daylights out of everyone. Much safer sleeping in the car. Seriously dodgy people hanging around the hotel all hours of the day. Avoid at all costs.

Staff was 10/10 very friendly, breakfast was excellent, Car park 10/10 👌 but room and bathroom were very average so overall I would say 6/10.

2/10 Poor

Worst experience ever!

Booked two rooms, one for my ill mother and one for me and my wife. They double booked our room so put me in a really bad situation, had to give my parents the available room. Their shower didn’t work, the TV didn’t work and the room was full of flies. It ruined all our stay totally.

8/10 Very good

The room was large with plenty of seats and a large king size bed which gave a good night sleep. The breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately there was a leak in the bathroom ceiling coming from the room above us. Also the shower-head was tied with cable ties so that the shower head was facing the wall. We complained to staff but nothing was done with the situation.

Quick one night business trip. Exterior a bit grim, interior not great seen better days. Room comfy enough, staff great and good breakfast.

You wont be disappointed

As always, check in faultless. Racheal is so friendly nothing is to much trouble, also the young man who works reception is just the same. Its because of them i keep returning here when im in the area.Reasonably priced, comfy bed, tea, coffee provided. My room had a working fridge(bonus keeps the beer cold.)
Wayne, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

The hotel is undergoing renovations. The elevator doesn’t work. The room was straight out of the 1970’s! Do not book this hotel. It’s old and dirty! The staff were polite, but knocked on the door at 9:30 to ask what time our checkout was.

Well worth a stay

Ive stayed here a few times and i cant fault it.Ratchel on reception is great and so is her Male colleague.Nothing is to much trouble and they are very welcoming and friendly. It is reasonably priced, rooms are big with a comfy bed,tea and coffee in the room. Decent bathroom with a in bath shower all very clean.Although they dont open for food in the evening you can order a takeaway and eat it in the breakfast room with cutlery and plates provided.

Awful stay

I was told the room i selected does not have air conditioning On the website part of the advertisement said the standard twin room has AC it was very hot it the room i had to open the window and my room was located by the roof top deck which made it even hotter there were flying insects that went it at night i hear cars coming because it was also by roadside i dont feel safe at the hotel because my window was open to have ventilation

Give this a miss

Took 20 mins to check in, then had to change rooms because the TV was broken. Receptionist looked stressed (she was also doing the bar) then took another 45 mins to get a new room (that tv didnt work either) No soap, tea bags, shower gel etc. Shower hanging off the wall. General hotel condition overall is terrible. I had booked another night there, but I am not going back, I have booked somewhere else. I suppose you get what you pay for (£34) If you are a tradesman, it's better than sleeping in your van (possibly) This hotel needs a proper shake up.
Peter, 1-night trip

Unpleasant

It was awful and waste of money. Some people on benefits staying at the hotel with noise and smell of cigarettes in corridor

Our stay

Check in was smooth, although big dog in reception area can be off putting for guests arriving. No privavcy given at reception desk either with other guests just standing there for a chat with staff. Visited bar, no glasses offered with bottled drink - staff member more concerned about going out side to vape. Room (134) Television rested on dressing table obviously previously used to be on the wall and it'd come off and it was just put there. The following morning I went to have a shower. Absolutely no cold water came out through the shower - now I like I hot shower but it took my husband filling up plastic cups at the sink so I could wash my hair as there is no way I could tolerate the shower. The water coming out the sink taps was also of the same scolding temperature.
