The room looked like they just put new towels in it without cleaning the toilet or changing the bedsheets. Pulled sheet back to find hair and crumbs like someone was eating in bed. The man at the front desk was excellent though. He immediately switched us but first went up himself to check that it was clean.

The bed is like an army cot. Not comfy at all. Squeaks when you move. Pillows lumpy. I had to go to the front desk to get a remote for the tv. Then was handed a handful of remotes with the remark that one of them may work. Felt like the staff was very indifferent about my stay.

I showed up for my reservation late in the day that I had booked two weeks prior. I was told by receptionist they had no room for me. No explanation. No apology. Just said they tried to call me and I didnt answer. As if that waa a valid reason to not honor my reservation. I did not hreceive a voicemail or email. And apparently no accountability or communication with hotels.com. Horrible customer service.

When is a reservation not a reservation?

The hotel called me at 8 pm on the day of check in to say that they could not honor my reservation likening the issue to an airline overselling seats. As a result I had to find another hotel and then the hotel billed me for the stay.
