I was just extremely disappointed as there was no mention of the bathroom for the room being communal with about 6 other rooms and the picture not showing the actual building the room was in. all the pictures are from the lobby/main building and we stayed in a relatively dirty, small room with nothing but 2 beds and then a communal bathroom with a dirty laundry machine.

The Farrington Inn has a wonderful staff and is located near the Harvard Ave train stop. The room we stayed in had a private bathroom, kitchenette, and comfortable bed. It was a great place for the price! We would definitely stay there again!

Do Not Stay Here!!! Terrible!!!

This stay was absolutely horrible. I would not suggest that anyone stay here ever. They stuck me and my two friends in an attic room that was not listed anywhere on their website. The room was extremely small, there were wires hanging from the ceiling, and the AC barely worked. We also only had access to a co-Ed communal bathroom that was old and dirty. I'm honestly not sure how this place stays in business. We left within 20 minutes of getting there because we did not feel safe or comfortable staying. I will be emailing the Inn and hope to at least get some sort of refund.

Had more of a 'hostel' vibe than a hotel (e.g., we had a shared bathroom, although there were several available at any given time). bed was a bit soft. Location was terrific (9 minute walk from the T). We got one of the limited onsite parking spots (reasonably priced at $10/day), but I could see this being an issue. If you have issues with mobility, it might pose a problem since there is no elevator.

Location is all its got. This was a horrible place, and it's obvious from the second you show up. The people who were in front of me in line got a special day rate and were only there for 2 hours. The poor guy checking people in was overworked and it took 35 mins from me entering the office to get to my room. The mattress was in utter disarray and might as well have brought camping gear. The sheet was not even elastic and came off exposing others germs etc. The lock on the door was enough to keep a mid-size man to about 2 kicks to get the door open. I will never go there again. Good luck if you make it out the next mroning

Not as expected based on pictures and description

The pictures are a bit outdated. The condition of the property is in need of repair. The rooms were the lowest base level of clean. The shared bathroom was not a problem and always accessible, but didn't appear clean. There was mold and so much discoloring in the shower/tub and sink. But the bed in the room we had was terrible! One was perfect and comfortable. The second bed was caved in to the middle and the springs creaked with every movement. Slept still like a corpse to keep from waking the room or rolling into my husband. For the price (and interest in their own business), I would expect a basic upkeep to the property. Parking lot in back was a plus because parking all around Boston area is difficult. Staff were Great!

This place was horrible, smell everything! Once I seen the rooms, I instantly felt bad for anyone staying there. Smell stuck to my clothes. Thin walls so you can hear everything. And of course shared bathrooms, eww.

Cleanliness not a huge priority

Both beds were extremely uncomfortable and caused me a lot of pain making it very hard to sleep. The kitchen was messy with leftover food sitting out the entire time. Nothing there was ever cleaned. In the bathroom there was consistently water all over the place which suggests it was not cleaned either during my stay. There were tons of dust under the beds in my room. When checking out I asked the receptionist how often the rooms were cleaned. He said before any guest arrives. I told him about the dust and he fluffed me off by telling me that that can be overlooked. Not worth the low price or proximity to transit.

Great room for the price

This place was awesome! The suite I stayed in was huge, and I couldn't believe how nice the kitchen was, and there was even a washer and a dryer. The other occupants were quiet, and respectful of privacy and shared spaces. The price was great, and it was amazing to be able to stay within walking distance of so many great music venues and restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful.
