We had a great time, and this is in a good location. We took a short walk to Harvard and enjoyed that area. The room is very minimal, but nice people and clean bathrooms.

This place is good at budget and there are choices of tastes from different countries such as Korea, Chinese, Turkey, Middle East. There is McDonald's within walking distance. I saw Jaguar and Land Rover dealer not far. Taxi is convenient in Boston Metro area.

Enjoy the Air conditioner
At least they moved me to a different location when I said this place is not up to standards, and I was surprised Hotel.com even listed this place. Rooms and facilities do not even come close to the images they advertise.

Budget Friedly Stay
The place was definitely a budget friendly and cheap stay while being close to the center of New York. The reception staff was very friendly and accommodating. However, the place was very old and a bit run down. The common areas weren’t very clean and the bedroom had broken and old furniture. If you are looking for something cheap to sleep in is a good choice, but if you are looking for a quality stay, this is not the right for you.

The Farrington Inn has a wonderful staff and is located near the Harvard Ave train stop. The room we stayed in had a private bathroom, kitchenette, and comfortable bed. It was a great place for the price! We would definitely stay there again!

The worst place I’ve ever stayed
This inn is the worse place I’ve ever stayed. The mattresses were bowed in so badly that I kept rolling into the middle of the bed. Al’s there were no fitted sheets, just one sheet tucked in. There was nowhere to put my towel, I just had to set it on the water heater. The bathroom didn’t have any hand soap, just a travel size shampoo bottle. The shower was so grimey and the shower floor was tinged with black/gray spots.
The only positive thing is that we didn’t get bedbugs or a serious infection. We couldn’t find another place to stay because of how busy it was, but I will certainly pay more and stay somewhere nicer

Move on
Location is good but the hygiene is simply awful. The place is falling apart and there are no amenities. Staff are very pleasant and nice and they try. Location is very close to Harvard, loads of restaurants but the houses on the street need a whole hell of a lot of love.
Shared bathroom, no soap or shower gel or any amenities so buyer beware.
Final pro tip: Check the bed sheets for stains, we found dried in coffee or something dark anyway!

Allston is a working class neighborhood with lots of students. There are a great selection of restaurants; especially Asian fare. So many great places to eat and explore. There is some urban blight and decay.

The hotel was quite old and had a slightly eerie feel. The bathroom was very small and offered limited amenities. However, it was cost-effective and worth the price paid. The place was quiet and peaceful, and the staff were prompt and helpful."

It was just what we needed. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable, and safe. The airconditioner worked well and the there were towels and toiletries that we needed. Be advised that it is a walk up but that was no issue for us. Yes, it is old but it is clean and safe.

never again
I was just extremely disappointed as there was no mention of the bathroom for the room being communal with about 6 other rooms and the picture not showing the actual building the room was in. all the pictures are from the lobby/main building and we stayed in a relatively dirty, small room with nothing but 2 beds and then a communal bathroom with a dirty laundry machine.

The address listed is not where we stayed. They have buildings throughout the neighborhood. We actually were escorted out of the check in building and down the block, where we stayed at 38 Linden st. Didn’t like not knowing that ahead of time.
