Wow, what a place.

Absolutly amazingly place to stay, fantastic grounds, all the staff went out of their way to be helpful and really seemed to enjoy working there and the breakfast choices were perfect. The spa facilities met our needs perfectly, if you are looking for Spa break please read what this place has to offer before you book.

A little gem for a getaway.

A great spa hotel. Rural setting. Very close to the beach for a walk. An older property, but very quiet and comfortable with a good selection of teas/coffee in the room. Could do with a TV upgrade (just terrestrial TV) but other than that excellent. Log fires and small cosy rooms to sit in. Food was excellent, well worth dining in. The spa has a very nice heated outdoor pool, sauna and indoor pool with hot tub. My wife had a massage and was very impressed. Its set in lovely grounds and is a perfect little getaway. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful spa hotel with lots of character! The medieval-style design creates a charming atmosphere, seamlessly paired with all the modern comforts we needed. The spa was a highlight—relaxing and well-equipped. We also appreciated the friendly staff and attention to detail. Highly recommend it for a romantic getaway or a relaxing retreat!

Excellent stay at this charming hotel. Property was only built in the 1920s but still manages to allude old world charm. Large, well decorated rooms and ours had an open fireplace - a real treat! Service and staff are attentive without being obtrusive. Spa facilities are great as well. Highly recommended!

Loved it apart from the room which was underwhelming for the price we paid. Definitely not value for money but the rest was lovely, staff, food and grounds all great.

Highly recommend this hotel, lovely setting, staff are very helpful and friendly, food was excellent. Only thing was the pool and jacuzzi areas need some maintenance.
Daniel, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Excellent place, but on the expensive side. The restaurant was very busy and you felt a bit hemmed in. Don’t think they were all guests of the hotel.
Robin, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

My favourite hotel anywhere.

This is a truly magical destination. It has history, style and friendly service. Exploring the various rooms, corridors and tunnel all add to the magic of this place. The food is excellent and I should mention the whisky to add to/with the morning porridge! The grounds are fabulous and extend down to the beach and the Spa a delight. This is our third stay and not our last.

Lovely buildings and surrounding area. Amazing spa. Friendly staff who were always helpful and polite. Thanks for a great time.
Hasna, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Overall we loved our stay and would return Great facilities the highlights being the Spa and the restaurant. Rooms are tired and feel jaded and the cleaning in the rooms needs improving . One issue was the hairdryer which for a hotel if this standing and cost was a joke. Apart from that would recommend

Better than ever.

What a refreshing experience to return somewhere after a few years and find it is just as good, if not better than before. Outstanding service from Oliver heading up the restaurant, genuinely wonderful food, superb spa perfect service from check in to departure. Consistent staff over the years who clearly take pride in what they do, and they do it superbly.
Antonio, 1-night trip

Lovely staff, unfortunately hot tub and jacuzzi out of action. Make sure book ahead for spa as gets very full. Very friendly to dogs and in a beautiful position by sea.
