I have stayed at the Haycock many times for leisure. This time was for business. The Haycock is simply wonderful. The wine, food and accommodation is wonderful. We had a lovely stay, the hotel was wonderful and had a beautiful walled garden. We booked a garden room which had its own patio/seating area which over looked the garden and was especially nice as we had good weather. bed very comfy. Breakfast plentiful. We didn’t have dinner in the hotel but can recommend the local pub, The Papermills, food was outstanding. The village of wandsford is very picturesque and had lovely walks by the river from the hotel to wandsford train station, which is an old station running steam trains to ferry meadows which was definitely worth a visit.

Excellent service from everyone I encountered - Lady on reception at check-in was polite, helpful and showed me to my room and explained the room functions etc Bar service for food and drinks in the evening was also excellent and I used the gym which was really good too.. The highlight of the hotel is the food, it is excellent. The hotel is beautiful with excellent design. Some practical things were overlooked for instance it is impossible to sit in front of a mirror to use the hair dryer.
