Small double bed considering that the price was not the lowest . Bit uncomfortable. Very creamy floorboards in a tired room . Water pressure for shower non existent, more of a drip . Lovely hotel for couples. We had an excellent overnight stay at the hotel, room was beautifully decorated but a bit small for my liking. We had a meal at the restaurant which was nice however I feel a bit overpriced for the quality. We used the facilities which I would give a real positive. Pool is pristine and both sauna and steam room were great. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve had for years. Excellent selection and a true Scottish mix serving haggis, black pudding etc so could not be faulted. The grounds and walks are magnificent if you have the weather!I like providing honest reviews and all told this was a great stay!

Bets hotel that I’ve stayed at on my two week road trip around Scotland. Very friendly and welcoming staff, stunning grounds and gardens, excellent breakfast, very nice food in the evening with an outstanding waiter who served me, and as a solo traveller, I felt very safe, welcomed and included. Thank you all for providing service that all hotels in Scotland should, but sadly, don’t!
