Loved the location but hotel needs improvement

Location is perfect, just 5 minutes from San Marco piazza and it has its own water taxi stop (if not high tide)! We loved the location. But as for hotel room, it had a mild sewer stench especially in the bathroom, and the air conditioning was not enough for the summer heat. The housekeeping staff were not friendly, they would pass us by as if not seeing us, but the porters and kitchen staff were very friendly. Reception staff okay. I guess the high price of the room is because of the location.

This property does all the right things for an enjoyable stay. Check in was easy and front desk provided maps and guidance of area as well as arranged our water taxi for early morning.
