Have not ever had a better experience in an American hotel. If you would like to have a once in a lifetime experience, enjoying immense Southern hospitality, this is the place. History & old fashioned grace shall drench you at this establishment.

An historic building in a quiet neighborhood. Well kept, solid and lovely. Staff were uniformly pleasant and helpful. Food was excellent. Room spacious and comfortable.

Very elegant and historical. The room was spectacular, the waiter we had was nice and very attentive, but was clueless about the wine list.

Overall, the hotel was quaint. Service was very good and friendly. It is an older hotel with a lot of charm however, the rooms could use some updating. The outdoor furniture is nice. The pool needs resurfacing. The rooms were adequate, but the floors are slanted and room smells musty. The beds were very soft and not firm. The hotel is very walkable and close to downtown. Drinks at the bar were average. Coffee and breakfast included is a perk. There’s a way to keep the charm of this historic landmark without it seeming dated.

Older Colonial style hotel that kept its historic integrity. Great atmospere. People socializing and musician playing piano in the foyer. Food pricey however food was delicious and well worth it. Complimentary breakfast consist of a full breakfast ( bacon, eggs , grits, toast, coffee). Room was cozy. We really loved it and will be back.

Oh where do I begin. I guess I’ll start with our stay was very disappointing. I was stunned by this because they won a ton of awards and have great ratings. So idk how that works. Here goes….
dirty outdated rooms
Cockroaches
TVs have so many wires and just looks messy and dangerous with all of the wires
No outlets
Paint is dated
Rugs dated
Bathroom grout tile needs steaming or change tile
Don’t really have valet or bellman
Check-in people don’t explain anything like at all. No hey here is your internet access, your room is that way, or check out time.
Spa was awful. Wouldn’t classify it as a spa at all.
Restaurant is eh but the bar area and lounge have a cool vibe. The bartenders were cool. However, if your hotel is dated & not what is advertised then your customer service should be top notch. Only cool piece is lounge and the front of the building has a beautiful look.
Oh almost forgot because so many negatives. The beds are from like 1980 and pillows are flat. All around if they painted, changed rugs, hung tvs, updated baths, and got their staff a customers etiquette books that would help. I get they want to keep the old school vibe but something need to be updated a d def cleaned properly.
