The parking is paid parking between 10 am -4pm in front of the hotel. There were vegetarian and gluten-free options (great gluten-free bread) for breakfast. It was very easy to walk around and see the sites in Akureyri. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The hotel was easy to find and we were luckily staying on a Friday night so the metered parking in front of the hotel was free. Lots of places nearby within walking distance to eat. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices. Room at the front was a little noisy from road noise. One of the bath towels had a hole the size of a baseball. Liked the provided shampoo and conditioner and heater in the bathroom. Tea kettle in the room.

The hotel is right at the heart of Akureyri, excellent location, walkable distance to almost all tourist spots in town. Just a bit noisy at night as pedestrians are on their way to bars and restaurants, and crazy sports car revving at night during our stay, which is extremely disturbing. The hotel is rather old, well kept but it shows its age. Staffs are friendly, and lovely breakfast.

Ana at the concierge was incredibly helpful in recommending a fantastic local restaurant and provided impeccable service during breakfast on August 23. The cleanliness and comfort of our room were also outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed the breathtaking city view from our window as well as the meticulous care provided by the housekeeping staff.
