The staff was extremely helpful and gracious, the breakfast is very worthwhile, and the bar is still an amazing space. You can tell this place was built to be top notch. That said, this hotel used to be THE hotel in Springfield outside of the downtown area. Visiting it now, it's in need of a remodel. The common areas are nice enough, but the elevators are run down, escalators are broken, and there are many upgrades needed.
