We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night stay at Scandic. The room was larger than expected, and any issues that we encountered during our stay were quickly sorted out by the friendly staff. Location-wise, it was within walking distance of the old town and had easy access to buses and the metro.

Beautiful and clean but not quiet

Beautiful and clean hotel in the center of everything Stockholm has to offer! Loved the friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was quite a spread of Swedish foods. My only complaint was the loud music played across the street from the hotel every evening (during the week) until about 10pm. It made bedtime with my infant a little tricky. Otherwise a family friendly environment.

I booked a queen bed room but was issued a 2 single bed room. Concierge fairly unapologetic about this. Room was tiny, extremely dusty, and worn. Bed was saggy and pillows flat. Mold on door trim in bathroom and shower system without scalding protection. Swedish hot water is very hot. Rooftop bar service level was non-existent.

Nice breakfast, but improvements needed

The good: The staff set up the sinhle couch bed upon our arrival for our children, which was so convenient. The breakfast had many options and was good. The bad: The bathroom was tiny and the shower only had a movable glass door and the shower head didn’t stay in place after our first two showers, so water got everywhere in the bathroom soaking all of the towels. There was construction so there was no terrace bar or restaurant available.

Lite torftigt hotell med hyfsat bra läge

Konstigt upplägg med att man behöver be om städning (istället för, som det brukar vara, tvärtom). Det fanns ingen matta att stå på efter dusch/torka upp vatten från golvet fast duschen var utformad på det viset att det blev vatten över stora delar golvet fick man helt enkelt använda handdukarna till detta. Eftersom det inte var städning så fick man gå till receptionen och hämta nya handdukar - dock inga problem med att få nya.
