Denver weekend

The room was clean andnthere is plenty of space. The kitchen is well-eqqipped. The shower door handle is broken and the shower door won't close, sonwater leaksnonto the floor. Also, the room had a funny smel that was very noticeable when you entered the apartment. The place is in a great area with lots of good restaurants and walking distance to downtown, Coors Field, and Mile-High Stadium.

Weird concept.

They really need to find a better way to communicate. This is somewhat of an apartment building that the hotel group took over and converted into reception free hotels. So they send you an entry code the day before and with that you can access the downstairs door and the other code for the door. Walls are super thin. I could hear the person next door walk into the shower. The kitchen is useless IMO and I would not want to stay there for longer than the night that I did. I think the concept is cheap while the room rate is not.

This particular room was on the bottom floor next to the entrance door and the door to the stairs both of which are loud (they provide ear plugs next to the bed). The blinds are generally good except at night where light from the street shines through the sides. Overall fine for me but it you're a light sleeper or need it to be very dark this is not the place for you

Traveler Beware - Not As Great As It Seems

First of all, the pictures are slightly misleading, as the apartment looked nothing like this. However, I'll list the good first - it was perfectly clean and perfectly adequate lodging. There was space for my bags, plenty of light and the AC worked great. Now, for the bad and unacceptable. The instructions that were sent at the time of check-in were the first indication that there is NO PARKING at this property. There is also no parking structure nearby; the instructions state that you'll need to find on-street parking, and pay attention to restrictions on the streets. (For example, the one place I found parking initially was the side of the street where I had to move the next day from 8 am to 5 pm for street sweeping.) I was able to park temporarily to bring my bags inside, where I discovered that there is no elevator in the building. I had to lug my heavy suitcase up a flight of stairs to the second level. The final straw (and vacation-ruiner) was when I went to lock the door to leave (a keypad-type lock) and the lock would not engage, no matter what I tried. There was a 24/7 contact right there on the door, which I messaged immediately. However, no one ever got back to me, despite me trying multiple times during my two-night stay. I could lock the door from the inside, which I did, but leaving would mean all of my items would be at risk of being stolen. So rather than enjoy Denver, I ended up locked in my room waiting for a response that never came. Do Not Recommend.

Simplicity

Beautiful room with everything you need as if you were living at home. The bed was nice and firm, but be weary of the bottom corner of the bed frame as it’s sharp and will get you if you’re not aware of how close you are walking in between the walls and frame. Caught my partner and I twice on the shin and will leave a mark— went straight to the ground of agony! Overall the locations is great and cute little cafe and pizzeria shop around the corner. Will recommend anyone to stay here; including myself.

Nice area, property itself was good but we arrived to stains on the bedding, power outlets in the kitchen not working and there was a constant loud hum in the complex, likely the heating or something because it was below zero but it woke us up every night so not very comfortable. When I walked into the room for the first time, I immediately noticed a "sound machine" and earplugs on the nightstand. It didn't dawn on me that I would be using these a lot! I was awakened early every morning by the unit above me stomping around and dragging furniture across their floor. While the unit I booked was well-appointed, skimping on floor insulation is tragic!! I would not stay there if you value your sleep.

I love the neighborhood and appreciate it's central location when I needed to go elsewhere. Only complaint (more of a critique, actually), I would have appreciated a softer chair; whether is was softer dinette chairs on one additional upholstered side chair. When I was working only options sitting on the bed (not an option) or sitting at the table with the harder chairs. Not a deal breaker. Just a suggestion.

Full disclosure: I am a Sonder employee. Booked this night as a "staycation" and was thrilled with the experience. Arrived at 9pm and street parking was still available just two blocks from the property entrance. Sonder texted me the codes needed to enter the property and room, both worked on first try. Entered the room and was greeted with local beers and local chocolates, along with a large glass container of water. Room was super clean and well designed. Studio space that didn't feel cramped at all. Being greeted with local treats was my favorite part, but the ease of entry and checking out being totally stress-free really seals the deal. Highly recommend staying here!

No Elevator and room was on third floor not very convenient when you have 2-50lb suitcases. I received no email for check in instructions so we ended up sitting outside in the cold for an hour after we had just gotten into Denver while on the phone trying to get access and having to fill out a registration form which I'm itself is crap! If I rent a room give me the key and let me go to it, I don't want to spend time filling out registration forms!

Overall decent experience here. The room we stayed in was spacious and clean. It felt secure with the front door building code, as well as a separate room code. It could do with some repairs though. The toilet paper holder and an attachment to hold the shampoo in the shower both came off the walls the first day we got there. The toaster doesn't work very well either. I was also mislead about the rooftop patio, the pictures look very different online compared to the real thing. They also don't seem to make it known that there is no on-site parking until after you check in. We had to rely on neighborhood street parking and it was not always easy to find a spot close by. Would consider staying here again in the future, just hoping for improvements.
