The receptionist was not the most friendly. Luckily the manager stepped in and took care of the issues. Everything was smooth after that and the place was great. Some of the rooms are bunk style and great for large groups of people or college kids travelling. The coffee shop downstairs was great and had very cheap bottle water. The bar at the hotel was great and has nice views. The hotel is great for people who want to walk around. Playa Norte is the place go for your beach access if you want to swim. It’s a very short walk to Playa Norte. The food trucks near the hotel are great. I recommend the Al Pastor from La Patrona food truck and the churros from Churrossik Park.

The place has a great vibe and excellent location. The pool, bar and beach area are excellent. However we stayed three years ago when it was Selina and the building maintenance seems to have gone downhill a bit. Ladders, cleaning supplies, and buckets left laying around. Our shower pressure was terrible and the toilet had flushing issues.That being said, we still like it a lot and would stay again.

Check in doesn't give you the "lay of the land". Figure out the kitchen, bathrooms and included breakfast on your own. Our AC died and the room was HOT. I left to stay in a hotel my last night to get some sleep. Breakfast is very limited but tasty. Cream for coffee costs extra..haha. only some items were included. Best part about this place...the ocean and beach are beautiful but it's not a swimming beach.

The staff are very helpful and the location is great! I would recommend Selina for a short stay if you’re looking for a place in Isla Mujares.
We stayed in a private room, it was clean and the housekeeping staff were great and made sure the bed and everything was setup everyday.
However, there are some things I’d flag. The water pressure is quite weak. The rooms are not well lit (atleast ours wasn’t) and the indoor lights while very cozy it was quite dim. The sound insulation is pretty bad you can hear your neighbours. Luckily our neighbours were mindful and we didn’t have any issues and enjoyed our stay here!
