⭐️⭐️ Disappointing Stay – Misleadingly Advertised as 4-Star
Our experience at Bentley South Beach was underwhelming and frustrating. Although marketed as a 4-star hotel, it falls well short of that standard in both service and amenities.
We arrived late at night with two sleeping children, several suitcases, and a buggy—but there was no bellman or staff to assist us from the roadside to the hotel entrance, which is via an unmarked side door. With no automated doors, it was nearly impossible to enter while juggling luggage and a buggy. No one offered help, making us feel unwelcome from the start.
The room had several major issues:
The air conditioner was so loud it couldn’t be left on for more than a few minutes, let alone overnight.
The water pressure in the shower was extremely low, making it difficult and time-consuming to shower.
Worst of all, the Wi-Fi did not work in our room at all—despite being essential for our work during the trip. When we raised this with the receptionist, she repeatedly insisted it was working for her and dismissed our concerns, rather than offering any real assistance or troubleshooting.
For a hotel in this price bracket and location, we expected a much higher level of comfort, basic functionality, and professionalism.
