We have never met such happy and helpful staff anywhere like this hotel! They are a really great team from reception and dining to cleaning staff. Well done!! A great hotel in the most stunning setting! We have had the perfect stay! Great walks around the lakes and mountain opposite. Literally minutes walk into beautiful Grasmere. Relaxing comfortable place by a large lake, easy access to wonderful hikes in the hills. It’s not terribly busy even in the peak of the summer, it’s away from the crowds.

The staff were superb and really made us feel welcome. The food was delicious and expertly prepared. The only blemishes were a table in our room that was damaged and should have been replaced plus there was a little mould on the shower sealant. Overall, an excellent hotel and we will definitely stay there again.
