Everything from the staff to the decor was wonderful. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but as soon as you walk in you know you're going to have a great stay. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The bar staff were equally friendly. I had a ton in the courtyard and it was very clean and comfortable. I will definitely be staying here again.

Very sweet and helpful woman at the front desk at check in. They noted our party would like to be adjacent and saved us connected rooms. Check in was quick and easy except their form requires 4 signatures per room which was a lot of signing after. A long trip. Our courtyard room was spotless, quiet and comfortable. This is a unique hotel In a good area and close to the town centre 10 minute walk. The restaurant was limited and not very inspiring and the bar was not well stocked but breakfast was great.

Lovely hotel, great reception and room service staff. Friendly and very helpful. We had a king size courtyard room which was clean and had a fridge and kettle. Bed was comfortable and shower worked well. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. Parking available at hotel but limited or car park at the Mount School which always had spaces. The walk into York took about 25 minutes. Only small criticism was the bar ran out of drinks including sauvignon white wine. Other than that would definitely come and stay again.

The property is immaculate throughout. Very tastefully renovated. The history of the property was very interesting. All of the staff were fabulous, especially Ria, Freya and the bar/breakfast staff. The Hotel wasn't too far out. A 15/20 minute walk to the City Walls. I would definitely recommend a stay, we will be back.
