The hosts were wonderful. Great breakfast and so charming either in the indoor breakfast room or the garden. Downtown within easy walking distance.

It's very close to the rail station. the staff is very nice and friendly, and my son like the cookie they provided Room is clean One downside is that the bathroom is a little tight

Friendly hotel

Easy check in, friendly owners. Ideally placed close, to train station and walking into Oxford. Bedroom compact but had everything we needed hairdryer on request. It was very clean and the bed was comfy. Continental breakfast and option to upgrade to cooked breakfast. Work going on outside but did not hamper our stay. Would return.

Lovely little inn in Oxford, where we greatly enjoyed our stay. The staff are friendly and professional, the room was comfortable and pleasant. Recommended!

Hotel was satisfactory and clean, staff pleasant and helpful, free continental breakfast and cooked breakfast available for a fee. Main drawback was the noisy roadworks near the hotel that went a on all day

Location!!

Great breakfast buffet with fresh fruit, yogurt and all the fixings. Quaint atmosphere, we loved the patio. Perfect location near the train station. Ideal walking distance from downtown Oxford. Steve & his team were very accomodating.
Frederic, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

This was one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The standard of housekeeping and cleanliness of the room was exceptional. All staff were professional, polite and efficient. The breakfast buffet provided a good selection of healthy foods. I would definitely recommend others to stay at the hotel and would book again if visiting Oxford in the future.
AIDAN, 3-night trip

A taste of Old England. Great location. Close to train station and bus or train to both air ports.

Cute hotel near train station

Cute hotel that has a BnB vibe, very close to train station. It was a hot weekend and the staff there went out of their way to provide a fan for the room. Breakfast was great and the garden spaces is quaint. Very convenient to Oxford city center and university area. Bathrooms were shared but there was a WC and shower on each floor shared between 3 rooms.
Toshi, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Free breakfast was adequate for a few days but got too routine for our 5 day stay. Water pressure for our 3rd floor room was unacceptable as well as water temperature. Shampoo disappeared every other day. All of the staff were exceedingly nice.

Lovely Hotel

Great hotel with excellent location to the city of Oxford. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the beds comfortable. We stayed in the annexe with a shared bathroom but this was absolutely fine. I loved sitting in the garden area and the whole hotel had a nice homely feel to it. The continental breakfast is included in the room price but for a little extra you can order hot food. This always came really promptly and was freshly cooked. I will definitely stay here again when I next visit Oxford. My kids loved it too.
Caroline, 4-night trip

6/10 Good

Not a true 3-star—barely a 2. No soap, noisy despite odd window panels, and “free” breakfast came with a charge. Staff were kind, and location *might* be great… once the roadworks end in August 2026.
Lovely breakfast location
Frédéric, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Convenient location, easily walkable to all the places we wanted to visit. Didn't even hear any of the extensive construction work going on outside,
John, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

This quaint hotel was a delight. Easy access to the station and local buses. The included breakfast was filling but there is a menu offering a “larger breakfast “ at reasonable pricing. Current railway works did not impact our sleeping. The stairs are very narrow so anyone with mobility issues would find it difficult. The owner an absolute delight and informative on what to do and where to visit. We would book again.
Debra, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

The Annex rooms are quiet. Great for working.
Raeid, 8-night trip

6/10 Good

The hotel is in a perfect location in terms of proximity to the railway station and the city centre. The road development work makes the surrounding area a mess although the hotel garden is away from that and very pretty. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was very small with only just enough room to walk around the bed and the furniture was old. The continental buffet breakfast was very good, with a particularly good selection of fruit. It was perfectly adequate for a weekend city break.
Gillian, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are basic but location is very convenient for the railway station and only about 10 mins walk to central part of Oxford.
AMAR, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Very good, clean, well-located property for an affordable stay in Oxford. Management was very kind and helpful. Staff was very kind and professional. Road construction is a bit of a noisy inconvenience but of course none of hotel's fault--situation is supposed to be better soon.
marco, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Stayed in a twin room that was very convenient for myslef and a friend. Comfortable and very closeby to the city centre. Only slight annoyance was when we arrived the room hadn't been cleaned from people before, spoke to the cleaner and said she'll clean next, even though we had arrived much after the arrival time. Overall once cleaned there were no complaints. Lovely staff!
Eboney-Mae, 2-night trip

Clean and comfy

Nice and clean, some work going on outside so a bit noisy but we were provided with window covers to keep the noise down. TV with Netflix was a win. Breakfast was nice, no fry up though!
Chloe, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

A good option close to the station.

Was very fortunate to be able to find somewhere so close to the train station at short notice, and it did the job. It was cold outside, so the room being very warm when I got in was ideal. There were a couple of downsides: I was unable to use the WiFi for most of my stay, and I was overcharged for a cooked breakfast (4.50 instead of 3.50). One staff member was also much friendlier than the other.
3-night trip

8/10 Very good

I stayed in separate building down the street. Small rooms with shared toilet and shower. It was nice enough. The staff were excellent. The area is under heavy construction so alternative parking was needed. But this was arranged. Breakfast was very nice, a free option with ability to buy more. Road closures made getting to hotel difficult but detailed instructions were provided and they worked well. This is a modest but affordable place within easy walking distance of the University.
Kevin, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Its an old building and could do with a freshen up with a lick of paint, and perhaps some new sanitary fittings, however this did not impact on our stay. The room and bedding was clean, comfortable and warm. Plenty of hot water. The breakfast was lovely and plentiful and the staff were all lovely. Brilliant location for getting into town and safe parking. This cost extra but was good value. The ongoing roadworks are not the fault of the hotel and they did all they can to minimize the noise. We slept well and was not impacted by these works.
