Hotel well situated hotel in pleasant grounds. Interior needs refurbishment but everything works. Staff were efficient and friendly. Restaurant staff were really helpful, attentive and went out of their way to help. Breakfast limited cold selection and reasonable warn choice that was of good quality. Food we had for evening meal was very good. The restaurant however needs refurbishment. We did not use the spa. We would stay again.

Very Disappointing

This is not a 4* hotel on any level. Staff incompetence and slow to non-existent service made the stay very frustrating. Parking was difficult as spaces are far too narrow for modern cars. The only good thing about this hotel is their efficient air conditioning!

We was given a nice room but the toilet was broken so needed to be moved the new room and bed was a lot smaller but the reception staff were extremely accommodating The hotel itself is not very accommodating to disabled guest it does not have a lift to the rooms and no disabled access to the spa especially the pool

Great location, building, room. Everything else was just average. Hate giving negative feedback but just felt like they were understaffed. Outside tables full of empty drinks, staff repeatedly came out and didn’t tidy up. Bar ran out of beer, even although not busy. Empty bottles from rooms left on ledge for over a day. Room staff did great but considering price/previous ratings kind of feels like staff are going through the motions. Stayed in London, York this trip in similar hotels…. Unfortunately this was not up to same standard.

I have stayed here a few times but it now looks very tired and in need of a refurbishment. The beds need updating as was not as comfy as when I stayed last year. The hotel was clean but the Spa was not, also in need of an update. It seemed less value for money as food and drinks have increased quite a lot but I would condufer staying again as the Receptionist told me they were about to update rooms and amenities. The breakfast was nice and had the usual choice of continental and full English.
